Yea, though I'm riding everyday, I know some of you aren't able to, due to the weather. So, this one's for you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0exvdHmId5Q&feature =player_embedded

yeah, this is the first full winter I've lived on the mountain as opposed to the valley. It's amazing the difference 1500' can make. Days where I could ride all over the valley...I can't get down the hill safely because of random ice patches. I've been spending too much time in cages this winter, I'm ready for a ride. Although last night I'm glad I caged it - stopped for a herd of deer to cross the road, one was out of line...and ran smack into the drivers door of my truck. I wasn't even moving, and I get to make an insurance claim. If I was in my $400 Jeep...I wouldn't care. But my 2500 is a *nice* truck...and I want to keep it that way. Damn. |

I haven't started my bikes since november. Almost time to light the v-twin fire. |

I ride all year when I can. I keep myself sane with skis during the winter months. |

Amen, ride all year. I go insane in the 'tween season. We ride whenever possible and this past weekend was made for taking the girls out and showing them that 30 degrees and sunny is about as good as it gets! http://youtu.be/r9u9PIJOmvA |

Speaking of riding all year, did any of you see the new Aerostitch catalog with the map showing the number of riding days each U.S. location has? Some were pretty surprising. Was close to 60 this past weekend and most of the snow has melted here in Northern Colorado but its a few weeks from the real good rides, methinks. We took the bikes out for a spin on Sunday, but have been spending more time on skis than two wheels since mid-January. After seeing all the sand and schmutz on the mountain roads while in the truck, we'll be waiting 'til spring before getting into any of the real twisty bits. The snow, elevation and lack of humidity are huge changes for us after so many years of swamp dwelling (in FL), but the 50 mph propelling tumbleweed on the interstate takes the cake for some of the most unpredictable and strangest riding conditions here so far.
