Well.....Will there be enough(of all kinds of)recovery to make it an event this year? Will TWO be open? Will the area be recovered from bad weather? Will people want to show up again? Will any sponsors open up to the idea? Will Erik and the Elves have anything to show us by then? At least one inquiring mind wants to know. What about you-all? It sure has been a great event in the past. |

I will head up to TWO and Skeenah to survey any damages.... I'm thinking they're probably fine. Will report back this weekend. |

Bill, the owner of TWO,has indicated that he won't open until April. At this point he hasn't started construction on the bathhouse yet. |

... It sure would be nice to crank that shindig back up, LOTS of good times had in past years... My main problem is- I sold my XB last year. Knowing the roads around Suches like I do (NOT well enuf but well enuf to have FUN), it'd be depressing to have to do it on a '79 Goldwing. Too many adrenalin-addled memories... I'd probably break down and cry to have to ride the GL through Gixxer Corner. Ended up last nite looking at the pics I took of the douche kid who bought my XB, plus many other angles of the bike- saw less than a month later, he had it on CL for sale, trying to flip it for $$$ gain over my selling price- he'd stripped it of all my cool sticker mojo, AND he stripped Erik's signatures from HC '10! Bastid. Anyhoo, maybe in 2014 I can rejoin all you folks down there, provided I findan S3T or a 2nd gen XB. I guess I could show up on the GL, but... |

Yeah, maybe- so far I've not thrown any $$$ towards a fork brace or stickier tires, nor have I gotten to research best options to make it handle well... it's just that my reflexes are still wired for an XB at speed. We'll see- maybe by October, I can pull off another Buell... |

I am still suffering depression from Buelltoberfest not materializing last year. I've never made it to March Badness as it seems to be damp more often than not, but I'd love a run to the mountains. I haven't been there in a long time. |

Slowride got his Goldwing through those mountains pretty well. Except for the CD player, I think he thought he was still on his Uly. He was handily keeping up with me on Blood mountain when he crushed his belly pan up into the bottom of the engine without loosing speed or crossing the line.....AWESOME ride that was for sure! |

I need a run in N. GA, but my schedule is sketchy these days. Pick a date? |

What if we say the last weekend in March? 29-30-31. For me this trip would probably have me staying maybe two nights at the Copperhead Lodge. I will pencil in heading down Friday evening, heading home Sunday. Not going to be camping this trip. |

I just want to know if the truck with the latest EBR bikes for demo rides will be there. Hmm, according to the dealer list at www.ebrdealer.info, the nearest registered EBR dealer is in Braselton, GA, which is about 50 miles from Suches. This year is probably too early, but maybe by next year they'll actually be set up with some EBR bikes on display and we could convince them to come to the new "not-TWO" and do some demos. I was just wondering about March Badness. I'll need to do some work to the bike, but I got a new Marmot sleeping bag, tent, etc. |

Hugh.....what if we assemble a ride to that dealership. We could let them know who might be interested in his wares. |

Ummm- Micah's GL was about 4-5 generations newer than mine, which handles like it has a hinge in the middle. Had an old man tell me that they used plastic swingarm bushings back when mine was made, creating this awesome effect. The guy once known as "Yellow Wolf" became legend at the Gap for schooling dang near everyone on his GL1800, but he'd thrown big $$$ into a Computrack suspension treatment too. Naah- my goal is to find an S3T or the longer wheelbase XB and Ulyfy it. Other than that, I dunno what else I could get comfortable with. Certainly NOT an IL4, mebbe a Triumph triple. Of course I lack the $$$ to do anything right now, so- how's about October youn's? Heck, by then the former TWO will be zombiefied, so we'll HAVE to check it out, no? |

I'll pencil this in, as usual. Haven't made it the past 3 years, maybe this one is the year to finally make it. |

Just thinking........ Maybe an April date would be better. "TWO" would be open. Less chance of rain, which I seem to remember as a part of the festivities in the early days of the event. Jes' sayin' |

We actually did an April date a few years ago- tentatively titled "April Buell's Day". http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/37/ 521901.html?1260824285 The idea was to miss the rain, and it worked out for that purpose. It was sort of centered at Copperhead Lodge. There was kind of a light turnout, the chief instigator didn't make it to the event, and it seems some people didn't support the idea as they thought it took away from the original March Badness. It was still a good meet. Scheduling something to work with the opening of "not-TWO" seems like a really good idea. |

April would be a much better date. March is hit or miss weather wise. It could be 70 or it could be 30. One of the biggest snows I ever saw was in March. |

I cannot do April. Got a wifey time vacation planned for that time period. I agree about the March weather.....but that seemed to be part of the charm of it all. Throw up "pick a date" to me, and usually I will pick one I can attend! I am just silly that way. |

Buelltoberfest last year was held the same weekend as Barber Vintage Festival,October 12 through the 14th. I already had a room and a ticket to Barber so didn't make Buelltoberfest. I don't mean to rain on the parade of those who would like to go back to "not TWO" in April, but camping space and lodge rooms will probably be hard to get as quite a few people and groups have been approaching Bill about staying there after he opens. There likely will be a waiting list if he decides to take reservations. He told me he didn't want to make any promises since he was worried about having everything done, specifically the new and improved bath house. |

I'm in the middle of a hospital acquisition set to go live April 1st. Ain't no way I'm getting a pass to come south that weekend. Wish I could make it. October may be a better bet for me. |

Went up the hill yesterday amidst snow flurries. Skeenah is open. TWO under construction. Buelltoberfest did occur, small group but nonetheless it happened. I live 45 minutes away so I will likely attend whatever event, whenever it happens. |

The folks at Skeenah were great and I'll be back in October but the spring is pretty tied up for me too. Whether it's at the campground formerly known as TWO or Skeenah it should be good! |

Just spoke with Bill (not TWO) at Riders Hill in Dahlonega,he said that ha expected to have lodge rooms ready for April but the campground hinged on the bath house. He's not sure they will have it ready by April 1st. |
