Just got the header off my XB9 in less then 20 mins..I knew there had to be a better way! |

Yep, the oil cooler bracket, remove bolts, let it hang. Subframe, 4 bolts, sit it off to the side on a stand/chair. Jack under the engine, remove the top shock bolt, then take out the fan. Remove the O2 sensor, 4 more nuts on the headers and then rotate it up, counterclockwise. I'm sure there's a couple of other things, but the engine does NOT need to be rotated to get the header off. |

D_adams..yep. you got it. I worked flat-rate at a new-car dealership for 25 yrs and time was money! If you look at things as assemblies instead of components. Don't disassemble the rear tail to remove! |
