Cabela's has a 6 week back order for decent 22LR (CCI Mini Mags). They are the only ones I found that would even venture as to when they would get some. I ordered a box or two. I think I saw a Zombie squirrel lurking the other day.
I just put a new Nikon 3-9 x 40 scope on my Model 60 with a Pic rail adapter and some Weaver mounts. I had some fun shooting dots Sunday.
Today: Target Sports is working on orders received December 20th. WOW!
WE ARE CURRENTLY NOT ACCEPTING NEW PHONE OR ONLINE ORDERS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Due to a very high volume of incoming orders please know that it will take up to 16-18 days before we process your order and 3-4 weeks before you receive you order.
Thank you for your patience and support.
30 round mags have dried up on eBay....unless you get one bought right when it is listed......before it is removed. I've been watching a bit every day for the last couple of weeks. Plenty of them on gunbrokers $$
eBay is pulling what they find. You can list it "buy it now" and it may get bought before they see it. I got one that way a few weeks ago. I was notified that the listing was removed after I clicked "buy it now" ,but I still received it and was still protected.Creative writing may also save a listing from being spotted and removed. Found this: You recently listed the following listing: 230************ - Black Magpul 30 round PMag's Unfortunately, we had to remove your listing because of the following: Parts and accessories for known assault weapons are not permitted to be listed on ebay. PMAG items are made specifically for assault classified weapons and should not be listed. Also, please keep in mind that magazines that hold more than 10 rounds are not allowed on the site. It would be best to not relist this item. We know that you may not have been aware of this policy and this notice is simply to ensure you are aware of it in the future. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation
Because of various laws and regulations on the sale of assault weapons and parts and accessories for assault weapons, we don't allow selling these items on eBay.
But you can list accessories that would fit a variety of different weapons, such as scopes, sites, and shoulder straps. If you do sell these items, you can't mention assault weapons in your listing.
Keep in mind that any listing for an item that's described as a part or an accessory for an assault weapon will be removed. Even if an item doesn't attach to an assault weapon, you still can't list it on eBay.
All fees related to this listing have been credited to your account. We also notified members who placed bids on the item that the listing has been canceled.
I couldn't help wonder how long it takes to get a shot away with this thing.
I'm betting an accurate shot could be taken way faster with a system like that than a standard scope where you either estimate doping the scope, or consult a chart of ballistics data, then dope the scope. Even then you need a means to gauge the distance to the target. Add the time to use a range finder in there too. The computer not letting you take a bad shot means that you also get a shot off the instant you get the sights on target. I saw this sort of rifle/scope/ammo/computer system designed for military use explained. It not only speeds up the shot, but puts the round where you want it too. It's pretty amazing use of technology.
So things by me are getting pretty out of control. Monday our District Manager decided to void company policy, at our store only, and cancel our lay-away program. In doing so he instructed managers to start calling customers and inform them that they have 3 days to pay off their weapons (33 of the 80 guns on lay-away were AR platforms of some sort).
We had a shipment of AR's come in on Wed, 50+ guns, and my boss had a "brilliant idea"...."I'm going to package guns with optics and or aftermarket stocks, grips, etc." Not a bad idea really, he's ensuring that high margin stuff goes with each gun and I was ok with that until........
You take a 2000.00 ACOG
Combine it with a 850.00 Bushmaster.....
And you get this...........
We were instructed that these guns go as is, complete. Seriously, who in the hell is going to buy a 3000.00 C-15?? Needless to say we've sold out of all the NIB guns and we still have this C-15 and a few other XM-15's that have 1500.00 56mm Trijicons on them.
Exactly. I actually broke ranks last night and tore apart another C-15 combo that "included" an ACOG, MOE hardware and a SIG AR soft backpack carry case. Dude kept the MOE stuff and dumped about 2500.00 in the accessories.
Like I said, I have no problems setting up a gun and selling it as an MOE or maybe a kit with a M-223 with a P.E.P.R mount, but things have gotten sorta nutty.
Even though a 1000.00+ 6-12x56mm scope fits on an AR, is there really a need for it?
Wanna talk about the SOCOM II he set up that was almost 7000.00?? LOL

All I need is more ammo. I'm fine with iron sights for now. I may add a 3x9 scope later, but I know I can hit out to 300 yards without any major problems right now. Anything beyond that, they've already taken me out anyway because I can't see them. Close combat, I'll probably be using a handgun or baseball bat. I need to dig those aluminum bats back out of the garage, the wooden ones got tossed a while back since they were getting pretty rough looking. Might have to look into getting a good quality sword for the close up stuff. Hmm, am I turning into "that guy" now? You know, the one that lives down the street and has too much weaponry?
