Too expensive. I've got an old river version of the AR. The grip isn't as good, but the price was right. And as a collector piece, it is a lot better looking.
Thanks Malott, imagine my dismay when the first two links were already taken down. Although there are no comments/questions on it yet. I have a lot of Native American assault rocks in my back yard. I've found a few that are in really good shape although they probably only assaulted animals.
Here's the Q&A from the link I posted, rather long.
Q: Yes, Please would my wife be able to handle your rock / rocks? Thanks for your time. Jan-09-13 A: Is your wife's name Scarlett Johansson?
Q: The M16 rock was notorious for jamming when it was exposed to the elements, will the AR15 jam as well when exposed to sand mud and rain? Jan-09-13 A: The M16 is the longer range predecessor to the AR15, and was also built out of Mud. The AR15 is constructed of a much more durable material.
Q: It looks as though I may have a multitude of these in the form of a fireplace. What are the chances of these becoming worthy of defense purposes should I choose to dislodge one and free it of its own mortality ? Jan-09-13 A: Well you have to ask yourself: Would you rather survive an attack from a home intruder, or have an ugly fireplace? Any object can become a weapon in the hands of a motivated individual.
Q: Has this AR ever been chipped? That would make it easy to track... Jan-09-13 A: I have never chipped it. I would rather putt it.
Q: I see you have Rockcoated it in "Flat Earth" color. Can it be restored to it's original color before I purchase it? I have heard Rockcoat is less durable than Cerocoating. Thanks. Jan-09-13 A: This AR15 has never been refinished. This is a sedimentary rock with Quartz crystals. If you want a more durable finish, the wait time is several million years for it to become recycled to the Earth's core and refinished as a metamorphic rock.
Q: Is there a buy it now feature as I am angry right now and my anger might subside by the time the auction ends in nine days? Jan-09-13 A: If you need assistance, please call the Crisis Hotline at 1-800-273-8255. Please, get help.
Q: Can you recommend an optic specifically suited for the AR15cm Jan-09-13 A: This AR15 is ideally operated with both eyes open.
Q: I SAID: Are you READY TO ROCK?! Jan-09-13 A: I'm not sure if I want to rock and roll. It's a long way to the top.
Q: Is this rock pre or post ban? Jan-09-13 A: This AR15 predates the '94 AWB by several million years.
Q: Is this compatible with my Greek Ballista Catapult from 800 BC? By the way, mine is currently mounted on my Clipper Ship, idf that matters. TIA. Jan-09-13 A: This AR15 is probably too small for your catapult, but will work well in the cannons of your clipper. Please advise.
Q: Hi Alex, I am really interested but I want to make sure about the firing rate...is this full auto or semi auto? Also, does it come with a child safety lock? Jan-09-13 A: I make no distinction between semiautomatic and fully automatic. I was educated by the mainstream media, don'cha know. It is as fast as you can retrieve it throw it again which is hundreds of times per second.
Q: Is that a pre-ban tape measure? Is it included also? Jan-09-13 A: No, I use it to measure other rocks.
Q: Nice looking AR! As I live in California, and it looks like it weighs nearly two pounds. Would you be willing to chip it into three ten ounce pieces before shipping? Jan-09-13 A: Since you live in California, I would suggest you move to a rock friendlier state, and I will ship it to you then. It's logistically more feasible.
Q: When traveling domestically within the US by air can one bring this in their carry on bag? Being that it is not "liquid" I can not seem to find it on our friendly rapist, er I mean TSA, website as being prohibited. It would be nice to be able to bring it on vacations for protection when you arrive at your destination. Jan-09-13 A: As long as you're not a WWII veteran, disabled grandma, paraplegic child, or an attractive young female, you should not be stopped by the TSA.
Q: Does this have the shoulder thingey that goes up? Jan-09-13 A: No, this does not come with a barrel shroud.
Q: If i win can you do an overnight ship? I plan on selling it because of the panic and i'm going to ask triple the price for it even though it's not worth it. Jan-09-13 A: Yes, I will ship it overnight but it will be triple the sell price.
Q: I like your assault rock very much. But I would like one in an "urban camo" or "black" color. A black one would look like it could do more damage, maybe even take out 2 or 3 at a time without reloading. Do you have any scary looking black assault rocks for sale? Jan-09-13 A: No the black or camo coloration makes them especially dangerous. It only makes sense to ban the sale of such an item, despite it being functionally and mechanically identical.
Q: I see there is no safety mechanism on this item. Can I be assured this will not accidentally go off when I am cleaning the dirt off of it? Jan-09-13 A: This is not a moon rock, can not do the moon walk, and has no magical powers. Rest assured, if you keep the Rock With You in a secure place like Off The Wall and In The Closet, it can do no harm. So many people are Gone Too Soon, and everyone wants to Heal The World, but first we must face the Man In The Mirror and for at least One Day In Your Life, acknowledge that is the man that gives the rock animation. It should not be Breaking News to anyone, but even in Hollywood Tonight they are blaming these rocks, claiming they are Dangerous. Personal accountability is what we lack in this country.
Q: What kind of groupings could be expected at, say, 50 yards? I know I can usually find at least a dozen rocks in each yard I look in, but what would you find to be typical? Also, would adding a handguard make this tactical and therefore make it a potentially banned item? Jan-09-13 A: This is a slow-loading AR15 so I would recommend you keep your shots under 15 yards. A handguard would greatly assist in the handling of this mundane rock, but I fear it is too tacticool and scary-looking. Worst case scenario, if the handguard or grip becomes banned, simply remove it and nobody will be the wiser.
Q: Is this rock good for hunting? I've been told that assault rocks are no good for hunting and has no reason to be owned by the average sportsman. Jan-09-13 A: This AR15 is an excellent choice for hunting, especially if you're a humane hunter. It's not always possible to get a perfectly clean shot, and even if you do, it's not always an instantaneous death. Because of its extra mass compared to a broadhead, the AR15 is an excellent candidate for hunting, especially stalking feral hogs through thick brush.
Q: Is this weapon paperweight legal in California? Jan-09-13 A: I'm not sure anything is legal in California anymore.
Q: Tell me a little about his AR15's performance. Would it do much damage to Piers Morgan's pale little face? Jan-09-13 A: I can not and will not condone violence toward anybody, even a foreign national, but I will say that the Ethiopians found rocks very useful as a defensive weapon when they fought off the EU invaders.
Q: Is the serial number intact, or has it been filed off of this AR? Jan-09-13 A: These ARs are not subject to ATF regulations and as such, do not have any serial number. eBay provides an Invoice and Bill of Sale, and this AR does qualify for Buyer Protection. You will be well protected with this AR15.
Q: How can you be sure that this isn't an AK47 or machine rock? Jan-09-13 A: The only AK47 I know of is Andrei Krilenko #47 of the Houston Rockets. But this is not a machine rock. I would call it more of a hard rock, with a rating of 7 on the Mohs scale of mineral hardness.
Q: What is the age and serial number of this rock? Is it pre or post ban? Jan-09-13 A: There has never been a ban on rocks and I can not see into the future, but I would call it a pre-ban. The date of the rock will take some research and testing, but it came into my possession in the late '90s. I have kept it in the same condition since I received it. Excellent cleavage.
Q: Will buying this item make me a murderer? I've heard that owning anything with "assault" in the name means I will become a horrible person with murderous rage coursing through my veins and I don't want to become a cold-blooded killer that can't be trusted in my own neighborhood. If I order 3-4 and have a full arsenal of these... with so much rock, will I have to join the KISS Army? Thanks, A Liberal. (Dude, seriously, you rock for this and have become a legend!!!!) Jan-09-13 A: Owning this does not make you a murderer or a criminal. Whether or not it makes you a bad guy/girl depends on what you choose to do with this rock. Every man and woman should be held accountable for their actions; it is illogical to pass blame onto an inanimate object. One should not be so quick to believe everything they hear on the (extremely) liberal mainstream media. Do not jump on the bandwagon or simply go with the flow. The Rolling Stone(s) is not hiring. Respectfully yours, A Rock Enthusiast
Q: Hey is this only a 10rd or less assault rock? The only reason I ask is that I wasn't sure if you were aware that eBay policy doesn't allow rock or rock parts over 10rds. Those deadly spooky weapons of mass destruction are known as hi-cap rocks, and they are prohibited here in the interest of galactic peace and harmony. Jan-09-13 A: This AR is not round. The galaxy is safe.
Q: How can you do this? We need to ban these for the sake of the children, and all existing rocks should be melted down and turned into skateboard parks. Jan-09-13 A: I will be hosting a Rock Buyback Program next week, but it will be Texas-based. I'm sure you liberals up there in the NW would be keen on the idea. Maybe y'all will follow suit and have a meltdown of your own.
Q: Is this C&R or do I need an FFL for transfer? Jan-09-13 A: I would qualify this as C&R but regardless, an FFL would not be required. This is legal to ship and receive across state lines.
Q: Do you have any high capacity buckets for sale to go with this AR-15? Jan-09-13 A: I have some shot glasses which are similar to buckets. They look the same and function in a similar manner. If you measure water in terms of molecules, they can be described as high-capacity buckets. If you are the winning bidder, I will be glad to include some complimentary shot glasses.
Q: Was this Assault Rock made made in the USA? I don't want to mess with 922-R conversion parts. Jan-09-13 A: This AR was only assembled in the USA, as you can see right here [points to previous question about country of manufacture].
Q: Hello alexrex20, I wanted to inquire about international shipping on this piece of armament. I live in Nigeria and as you might imagine, there is a large black market out here. We deal only in unregistered items. I am, however, a registered PayPal user which provides some "ease of mind" during sales of this nature. Cheerio. Jan-09-13 A: Thanks for your response in business time,i will need your full name, street address, state, zip code, phone number and mailing address for delivery,As am only able to receive payment by certified check or money order are the only means i make payment, because i am on business trips.and i will be pleased to send you more pictures. It will take some days for the item to get to you.As per payment,I will make arrangement for the payment after I return from business.i would not mind adding more $70 if you consider it sold today,do reply back with your full name and contact address in which the item will be mail to you tomorrow.Expecting to hear from you soon. Regards..
Q: Do I need a concealed carry permit for this in Indiana? Jan-09-13 A: You will have to check with your own state laws. I know it is legal to ship, own, and receive privately, but I do not know the concealed carry laws for each state.
Q: has this ar been test fired and sighted in yet? Jan-09-13 A: No it has not been sighted in. Due to its size it has limited range so I prefer iron ore sights. It is guaranteed to fire with a little bit of gasoline.
Q: Thats a nice rock you have there. I personally have a couple of what I believe to be the previous generation rocks.I trust that they have made improvements with this newer much nicer model. The problem I'm having with the older model rocks I believe to be pressure switch related. Once they are turned on, I can't get my rocks off. Can you help me? Do you know how someone with an older set can get their rocks off? Thanks for your time. thf Jan-09-13 A: It is true the older rocks use an obsolete design of pressure switch. The current version like mine uses the latest technology in VJ (vacuum job) as opposed to the BJ, which are capable of getting rocks off whether positive (BJ) or negative (VJ) pressure is used. The term BJ is a bit inaccurate and old-fashioned. I should hope that this new model will really get your rocks off.
Q: is this ar compatible with camouflage? Jan-09-13 A: This AR is naturally camouflaged. But it would be compatible with digital camo, if you're so inclined
Q: Can even a Okie operate this safely? I hear they tend to be a bit unweildy. Jan-09-13 A: With proper training and education, this can be a very safe assault rock. Responsibility lies ultimately with the person wielding it. I can not comment on an Okie's ability to use it effectively.
Q: what kind of aftermarket stocks are availible? I would like to get a BEE themed stock. Jan-09-13 A: There is currently not a large market for these, but I expect it to take off in the near future. I am not aware of any aftermarket stocks at this time.
Q: What is the magazine capacity on this beauty? Jan-09-13 A: I believe the only limitation on magazine capacity is the width of the bookshelf or desk. How many magazines can you fit between this AR15 bookstop and another?
Q: Is this assault rock a Bushmaster? Jan-09-13 A: No, I believe it is a Bush River Ordnance aka BRO.
Q: Hello, Is this made in the USA of some cheap knock off from China?? Jan-09-13 A: It was made in China but due to tectonic plate shifting it ended up in America where it was harvested. This was proudly assembled in the USA.
Q: Can this Assault Rock be modified into multi-Assault Rocks, say 30 or 50 rocks? Jan-09-13 A: Yes. That is the advantage of buying the AR15. It can easily be modified into fifteen AR1s, the minimum size proven to be effective by the FBI (Fracturing, Bruising, and Intimidation).
Q: is this a tactical or featureless version ? Jan-09-13 A: This is the base model, making it 50-state legal. Some tactical features are illegal in certain states.
Q: Surely there has to be some kind of law or regulation concerning the concealed carry of this assault weapon??? Jan-09-13 A: No, these are only regulated if they are black and you paint a scary face on them.
Q: Is this a pre ban model? Jan-09-13 A: A ban has not been signed into law yet. So get it while you can! This is also a pre-64 model.
Q: Would we need a FFL to make the transaction legal? Jan-09-13 A: FFL is not required but I do require a notarized Bill of Sale, because they make me absolutely invincible against prosecution.
Q: Can it be silenced? Jan-09-13 A: Yes. There are many great vendors here on eBay that sell sound suppressing devices like towels, bags, purses and ear plugs.
Q: Can a picatinny rail be attached? Jan-09-13 A: With the right tools any standard spec rail can be added. Unfortunately, I do not have any chisels available. Q: Does this come with instructions? Being pre-tactical, can I drill it for a weaver mount? Jan-09-13 A: You can view the instructions for free. They're on the cave walls at Serra de Capivara National Park in Brazil. I do not see any pre-drilled holes for a scope base.
Q: This Caveman's AR15 does in fact look millions of years old. Who built it? Chinese caveman? Jan-09-13 A: I believe so. That is why it is so short.
Q: Are the quartz crystals in this Assault Rock fixed or detachable? And if detachable can they be comingled to increase assault capabilities? Jan-09-13 A: They are neither fixed nor detachable. But if they become detached it is easily fixable.
Q: That AR15 Rock Looks a little to scary to get pass the liberals here in Massachusetts, If I win the auction do you think you can disguise it to look like a lump of dirt ? Jan-09-13 A: Sure, I'll glue some felt to one side of it and it will be a paperweight. Shouldn't take much to fool them.
