I picked up a new Husqvarna TR650 Terra yesterday. I always wanted a KLR650. This is similar except it actually looks good and hass good power. First ride was cold and snowy but I like it so far! I'll take it out today and get some more ride feedback and maybe some GoPro footage. Untitled |

Looking at that I am going to go throw rocks at my KLR. 20 more hp is also handy. looking forward to reports. |

IIRC, their price point is pretty reasonable too. Also watching this thread for updates. |

Nice. Did you choose the ABS option? Are you still working on your Yamaha project? |

Yeah, I am without work as of yesterday so the Yamaha will be receiving a renewed focus. It might be foot position thing or maybe I bumped the clutch, but. It seemed to jump out of second gear and into neutral twice today. Other than that it is great. The shifter is a bit higher up than I normally run so I need to angle this down and I bet that will clear it up. I'm guessing that is the source of the shifter issue. Other than that, so far so good! |

I also got some good GoPro footage so I will need to post that with more in depth commentary. |

I'd love to hear the thing. It may well resemble the KLR budgie fart exhaust note of an EPA'd single but still, if possible... |

Move your foot back on the pegs so there's no chance you'll hit the shifter. |

You go Gregg! John is dying right now, I'd say he will have one by spring. I think it's a killer bike, wouldn't mind having one myself... |

The 350X has proper wheel spacing as of last night and the motor mount is being built. With all this free time and the wheels sorted it should be smoother sailing. Richard, I bought it without a test ride based on John's recommendation and so far so good. A video is currently being uploaded to YouTube showing the first day of riding. Stay Tuned! |

Can't wait for the video and feedback, I'm itching for something new also. Looks as if anything from EBR is just too far out there, kinda have my eyes on the BMW F800GT....but this husky really looks tempting, very attractive price. |

I was reasonably happy with my DR. Now I realise just how old school it really is. |

That's my Mom's house but her car wasn't there so I didn't stop. Lol. Her yard has been abused by vehicles for ages. This is nothing new at her house. Also the shifter position change cured the ills. I think at the stock angle I was not solidly engaging the gear even at max ankle extension. Shifts much better and doesn't pop out. So far trouble free. Right at 100 miles on it. I think I'll change the oil and filter at about 250 miles and see what it looks like. |
