Political "fact checkers", are anything but. They're just an extension of the politicians they agree with. I thought everyone knew that by now. |

Who is this Ben Gazi you speak of? |

The press doesn't really talk about him, so I have no idea. |

Nah, you're thinking of the TV guy Ben Gazzara who died earlier this year. His most famous role was in "Run For Your Life" about a dude who had just two years to live so he set out across the country. Ironically, the show lasted four years. (Message edited by strokizator on December 12, 2012) |

The second article from Bloomberg did refer to additional production capacity, rather than shifting from North America. The headline was confusing, I think. "Chrysler currently builds all Jeep SUV models at plants in Michigan, Illinois and Ohio. Manley referred to adding Jeep production sites rather than shifting output from North America to China. " |

I read the articles and all I gathered were they were adding production, not moving production. Am I wrong?? |

And what EXACTLY was said in the ad? Where's the lie? |

Since no one seems capable of answering my question about what the ad actually said, here's the exact quote...
quote:Obama took GM and Chrysler into bankruptcy, and sold Chrysler to Italians who are going to build Jeeps in China
Is that really the "lie"? Sounds like the truth to me. Sure tops BO's whoppers on Fast and Furious, Benghazi, health care or his dozens of smaller scandals. (Message edited by SIFO on December 12, 2012) |

In recent months I've learned more than I ever wanted to know about union guys. Not much of it good. It's even scarier to see from the inside. Glad to see that Michigan just took a big step in the right direction. I'm not sure what disappoints me more. The fact that a group claiming to be a media watchdog is telling these lies, or the fact that so many people chug down the KoolAid without any clue that they are being fed these lies. |

I'm a Union Guy. I don't have to be, nor do I HAve to pay dues. I'm also "certain" that my Union would represent me just as good if I was a scab.... Caught some video from Michigan, watched hired thugs hitting people, cutting & collapsing a tent with reporters in it when the coverage wasn't to their leaders liking. I've repeatedly stood up at union meetings and asked why we only donate to one party. My argument is simple, and not partisan or political. If you only donate to A and never to B, than B has no reason to listen to or care about your wants. A also has no reason to listen to or care about your wants. There are a few metaphors you can use, mostly sexist, like, if you are a sure thing, there is no need to woo you. If you are zero chance, also no need to woo. So A&B both take you for granted and you get diddle, and diddled, by both. My point is that no matter what the ideology, you have to be in a position where the politicians of BOTH parties want your money and influence. As it is neither one cares. I didn't like Romney that much anyway. He was by all accounts a nice guy, but that's not what America needed to beat Obama. He wasn't willing to compromise his ethics to attack Barry, and the Media made his mild attempts, like the Jeep thing, dull and mocked. Time to overthrow the Republican Leadership. They suck. |

The biggest casualty has been critical thinking. Even cursory analysis of most of what is spewed should disprove it handily. Unfortunately, the result is that people parrot the information that reinforces their world view and don't bother to evaluate what they are told. |
