Looks like Apple is bringing production of one of their lines (rumor is the Mac Pro) to the USA. http://tech.fortune.cnn.com/2012/12/06/apple-makin g-macs-in-us/ Thoughts? I bought my fiancee a MacBook Air for birthday/christmas and she loves it. I've had a chance to use it some and have been really impressed. When I get tired of my homemade PC I might look into a Mac desktop. |

Dell still assembles most of its computers here in its various factories throughout the US. Most of their dirt cheap models like low end laptops are made in China, but not the nicer stuff. Apple is moving away from serviceable computers and laptops meaning you won't be able to upgrade components like memory in the future, so if you do get a Mac make sure you get one with more than good enough specs. |

I've been waiting for my PC to die or just irritate me to the point I want to replace it since I got the original iPhone so I can justify getting a Mac. It's still functioning and honestly rarely use it. I can do most of what I do online from the phone. |
