http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2012/dec/3/cha nge-on-veterans-gun-rights-lights-fire/ If you've ever tried to get the diagnosis of asthmatic removed from your medical record, how hard do you think it is going to be to remove the psychiatric diagnosis of "mentally incompetent". Sorry, but I don't trust Veterans Affairs mental health administrators as far as I could throw one. I'd want an impartial judge who doesn't have a dog in the fight. Having the official make the diagnosis or reversal of that diagnosis places them in the position of judge, jury and executioner. It's bad law. Plus, how hard would it be to deem any behavior contrary to the wishes of the State as evidence of "Mental Incompetency"? |

the new DSM-5 is out ; we are all crazy now just waiting for a freshly minted MSW to tell us so. It took me 6 years to get back to where I was after some nitwit in the ER annotated my file after a car accident that I was 'not in my right state of mind' had the dipshiat spoke Russian he would have found out that I was specifically clear and coherent - he deserved the punch across the jaw - and I would do it again. it is why I went into medical audit and investigations - if I can take down one quack a year, I feel vindicated. every instance I have had with medical providers has been to my detriment. They are not the God Complex they paint themselves to be. They are administrative miniscule cogs in the wheel of the machine - they and their kind deserve no credence nor garner any respect from me. If you think the PPACA Bill is a good idea - you haven't read it. |

looking at the bigger picture of available resources it's still a crappy thing. thing that concerns me is that this will likely drive the black market even further. |

Now that we will all have single payer insurance, how difficult would it be for ordinary citizens to be deemed "mentally incompetent" and unsuitable for arms ownership? There will be no due process. An unelected, unaccountable bureaucrat will determine what rights you get to keep and what rights you are too "mentally incompetent" to retain. |
