of the tow behind kind.

Looking for experiences with them. Liking the idea of the single wheel style.

Like the Mono-Wheel set up

and the

Third Wheel Trailer

My buddy Skeeter Todd (he's the one that initially built the RS/S2 hybrid pictured on my profile) has been running Bushtec trailers for years now. Swears by (not AT) them. He stopped by the factory years ago on his way somewhere, pulling the trialer with his big-inch turbocharged dresser.

Owner of Bushtec asked him if he ever ran 85 MPH or so with the trailer behind the bike.
Skeeter answered that he slowed 'er down to around there for curves sometimes.

Bushtec immediately pulled off the trailer and pushed it into the shop, and put some "H" rated tires on it, gratis. Probably didn't want to think about tires on a motorcycle trailer shredding at 100+.

Skeeter recently finished up a turbocharged S&S 'X-Wedge' motored FXR that's putting a couple hundred HP to the rear wheel. Google him.

Anyhow - good trailers, and they don't lose cargo space like the ones with the internal single wheel.

Looked at the N-line also. I guess the boxy look just does not do it for me.

The mono-wheel and TWT match the curves of my Triumph

I haven't used one but the only other single tire trailer I know of is
http://uni-go.com/
I will be curious what you decide on and how it works.

The downside of the single-wheel trailers is that they are considerably smaller than the two wheel variety. A uni-go has 5 cu.ft. while a bushtec ranges from 21 to 26 cu.ft. Since junk expands to fill all available space you may soon wish for.

I've been pulling a bushtec for years and you really can't tell that it's there.

Budget?

$200?
$2000?

Open?
Enclosed?

What kind of tow vehicle and how far?

Other gear going along on the trailer?

If you want a super well-designed system, Kendon is the answer.

I would stay far away from unconventional towing concepts.

Slaughter,

on the lines of towing with the bike.

Strokizator,

Not looking to haul a bunch. The wife is good about not loading us down.

I'll be watching this with interest. When I collect my powerball money I'll get one of these that I've had my eye on.

Of course I'll be pulling it with my Vulcan so the size/weight issue isn't much of an issue. Those single wheel jobs really look the bees knees though.

I used to tow a dual wheel trailer with my HOG, but sold it. It was great for bringing the kitchen sink for camping.

I like the Uni-go, but it's kinda small.

You should get several one wheel trailers and make a little train!
