Typically I'll add a dash of sta-bil to the tank during the cold months when I hardly ride. Now with e-10/e-85 fuels with ethanol that attract moisture...what other products are useful ? |

Sta bil has new stuff for the crappy new fuel. It works. |

I use Sta-Bil Marine formula as a daily additive in all my bikes, I figure, who gets more moisture in their tanks than boaters? Anyway, I get great fuel mileage, easy starting after storage, and spark plugs always look dang near perfect. Just my 2 cents... |

I just fill the tank all the way to the tippy-top. No air, no moisture. Never had a problem. |

I get REAL gas ( no Ethanol) and fill it to the top. The only place it beaks-down is where it exposed to oxygen. |

I'm a fan of the Seafoam and top off. Haven't had any problems yet. It's supposed to be 60 degrees this holiday weekend so hopefully I'll get some riding in and a wash and top off. This time of year is sketchy for riding. |

I got a neat write up on new gas and how Stabil works... Get your gas from the pump, and immediately put the stabil in. It forms an insulating layer on top of the gas and keeps the bad conversions from happening. The sooner you get it in from the pump the better. (If a chemist knows differently, I'd love to learn). |

Winter grade gas hits the pumps around October 1st. It evaporates faster and is not good for off season storage. I try to stock up all my jugs with Summer grade, non ethanol for the end of the season fill up...with a dose of Seafoam. |

Gonna get the GL out for a spin and a 100% gas fill-up, with some Seafoam... Also gotta winterize the tiller and the mower... What about boats with 2cycle motors? Mine has been sitting a couple of months with a full 12 gallons of premix, already has Sta-bil in- I might add some Seafoam too and run it with the water-ears a bit today, just to be safe. Don't know a lot about boat motors, know a fair amount about 2smokes, advice is appreciated. |
