I'm kinda digging this one! http://www.superbikeplanet.com/2012/Nov/121111cb11 .htm http://powersports.honda.com/2013/cb1100.aspx Price is right, too. |

Can't say I am a fan of the new CB110 at all. Although I really did like the original CB110R concept bike that they showed, and should have had the guts to build first!
I would consider one of those ! |

Being that my first road bike was a '74 CB750K, I REALLY like this. |

Doesn't matter... it's still the kind of bike I like... standard, no body work, customize it the way YOU want to. I hope they sell a MILLION of them. Although... now that I look at it... it COULD use some pods... |

If I had ONE complaint, it's that 3.9 gallons doesn't seem like an awful lot... unless Honda managed to squeeze 60 mpg out of that engine. |

This thread desperately needs a pic: I just wish they'd do a modern version of my VT500FT Ascot: The bikes actually have pretty similar styling. |

A four-into-two exhaust would also look nicer than the four-into-one it has. Heavier maybe, but more appealing to my eye (at least). |

Wow, this didn't take long. Motorcycle USA already has a road test of this thing online: http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/117/14801/Motorcycle -Article/2013-Honda-CB1100-First-Ride.aspx |

Been digging the press on that new CB1100, and... the new Goldwing "bagger"! Honda might have a little more coolness than previously thought! |

I like it a lot. Dig the retro chrome fenders. I can't believe Honda still makes gas tanks like they did in 1968 though, with the weld flange running the entire perimeter. I hope they didn't go too cheap on the suspension bits. I wonder if it'll show up on the show circuit that's about to start. |

You meet the nicest people on a Honda. I'm not one of them. |

If this was HD, you'd be ripping them to pieces, old style, when are they going to get with it etc, 18" wheels wtf. But it's a Honda so it's just a tip of the hat to their roots, right? I'll not be buying one. |

This bike reminds me exactly of my first bike, which 35 years later is still a better machine than anything with the Harley name on it. Just saying. If I had room in the budget, I'd definitely buy one. |

Grumps, you're not known to be the "hatin'" type, wzup? I've always appreciated Honda for their bleeding edge tech over the years- Yamaha too, especially during the '80's. Kaw did a good job too, with the W650, which IIRC is now being reintroduced as an 800. Many of the big 4 have iconic bikes and designs that are well worth revisiting. HD, OTOH, has made it their entire business model to market "vintage", "old-school", "retro", ad nauseam. Other than image, nothing new to see here, move on. Some of us got a chubby with the XR1200 (hi Jeff!), but nothing else. I appreciate Honda and the other Japanese companies having the sense to reinvent their classics. (Patiently waiting now for a Yammie RZ with direct injection 2smoke hi-po motor, KR edition phleeze...) Anyone seen Kneeslider's piece on the Metisse cafe bike with an Oilhead motor? WANT. BAD. |

no new tech at HD? VRod? (for starters) abs efi etc etc etc yes, they go for the vintage/retro look on almost everything, but so what? |

ABS? One of the last to jump onboard the bandwagon (and only because the CHP said they wouldn't purchase any motorcycles for official use unless they came equipped with it). EFI? Also one of the last to the party and also because they were forced into it by ever tightening clean air standards. VROD? Started out as a Buell project until Willie G. and his boys destroyed the original concept and made the engine useless to Erik and the Elves. |

I like the CB1100. Price will depend if I would like it enough to count. My first street bike was a CB750. I like my Buells better but did like my Honda. |

Brumbear: Actually, I think an 18" wheel will handle the craters and holes far better than the 17" wheels that adorn most modern motorcycles... |

Had a crap day yesterday, & posted outside of a couple of LARGE compensatory Rum based beverages. I was having a spiky moment. Mrs G actually told me to go to bed, after I started snoring in front of the tv with one hand on the laptop keyboard & the other holding my head up. OOPS. Still won't be buying one though, but I'm not hating either. |
