I got my newest sales offer from HD today. They have preapproved me to purchase a new 110 anniv. model up to $27k. They have some awesome (not) interest rates at 9.99% which comes out to over $400 a month for 84 months after I come up with 10% down and cover all the prep, doc. fees and taxes out of pocket. They then go on to tell me how "RARE" these bikes will be with only 4000 of each model being built. I think I will just keep my Buell race stripe bike that is 10 times more rare, and 1/10 the cost....LOL. |

I keep getting credit card offers from HD with "chrome rewards" points to spruce up my 2004 Buell XB12R motorcycle. How stupid are these people? |

How stupid are these people? Only as stupid as those who jump on their finance "specials"...and believe me, there's a lot of 'em. |

What's hilarious about HD's "special" 9.99% is that you can buy a Polaris or Arctic Cat ATV with their every day 3.3% interest. |

Wow, 9.99% "special" interest? You'd have to be pretty "special" to jump at that... that's terrible! |

Anybody who needs to finance a bike for 7 years doesn't really "need" a bike. For most people this purchase comes under discretionary spending and it should be carefully considered before making a long term commitment. |

Kawasaki has 0% for 5 years and will finance 125% of the list price so you can get all your gear with ZERO money down. Oh, and their bikes aren't crappy or overpriced. |

Just for grins I called my bank. Since I have great credit, make decent money and am best friends with my loan officers husband....she said I could get a special rate of 2.75% on a NEW motorcycle purchase. LOL |

They have to pay back Warren Buffet the loan they got from him and that loan was at 15% so at 9.9 they are losing 5.1%, not good business I would think. |

Buell offered me I think it was 2.99% for 3 years on both my 1125s, I got one before the factory closed, one after. Good thing they ran out of bikes, otherwise I might of picked up more. |

I had a conversation with an F&I girl from Rossmeyers about a year or so ago and she was saying that she rarely sees H-D offer any buyer anything less than ~9%, regardless of FICO. She related shes seen the best rates walk in with a pre-approved check from C-U's for 3-5%. |

I set my email filter to delete anything from H-D so I don't have to see that crap. |
