Greg, You might find UM funny but how is his outburst any different than what you saw on the playground when you were in third grade? |

He just reminds me of every d!ckhead boss I ever had! EVERY TIME he tries to fit in and act like an actual human, it is uncomfortably humorous! As long as you opened the door to this in this thread, I'll give you some original opinion that isn't a C&P from anywhere. I have heard how Romney doesn't relate to the average citizen many times. I don't know if that's true or not, it might be. He does relate to me though, in that he reminds me of many people I've known in business. Actually he reminds me of management in the more successful businesses I've been involved in. This may just not be a coincidence. I've done a lot of consulting and have seen more than my share of what goes on in business management, just to let you know where I'm coming from. I was in management myself fairly early in my career, but decided I didn't really care for dealing with whiny employees. Most need a huge dose of reality to give them a swift kick in the ass. So come this August, I've taken a new job that happens to be in a union shop. I've avoided unions all my life, but this is a position where I can walk to work, and that is just way too convenient to pass by. It didn't take long to realize just how messed up things are around there. After almost 3 months I can safely say that this is by far the most poorly run business I've ever been involved with. A big part of this seems to come from misinformation that keeps coming from a couple of union stewards. For some reason they tend to flat out lie about things to try to make things bad for the company, and to try to make the union look better. I guess some may not see through this, but most are well aware of the situation. Here's where it really sucks. We are exempt from the new BO care law. Basically this just makes it easier for the employer to NOT provide any sort of health care coverage with no penalty! That's a pretty f'ed up deal between the unions and BO right from the start, assuming this law is worth a crap at all. So I mentioned to the union steward that if the union really wants to do something good for it's members, they should negotiate for group medical for their membership. The teamsters are a huge union that should be able to negotiate as good of a deal as any employer. With such a large base, the administration costs per person would also be minimal. Unfortunately this has been met with resistance from the union. So in short they can't negotiate health insurance into our contract, they did negotiate us out of Obama care, and they won't do anything to help us get affordable insurance through the union directly. What a great job they are doing for their membership. Of course, this is all made up for with the higher union wages, right? Well as it turns out, starting pay is actually quite a bit lower here than where I came from. With my years of experience, I do get a bit more though. After paying union dues it's about a wash. What does make this job worthwhile to me is that it's about 35 miles per day less commuting. That save me time, wear and tear on my vehicles, and gas. Otherwise, the non-union shop I just came from beats this place in every way I can see. The union workers are far more whiny about small things that are of little consequence at all than I have ever seen in close to 40 year of work. The interaction between the union and company clearly keep the company from being as flexible as they would normally be able to be. I really have to say, this has been quite an eye opening experience for me. The good news is my old boss tells me, anytime I want my job back, there's a place for me. I've told her to let me know when they open up in my town. All else being equal, I would jump back to a non-union shop in a heart beat. Just some personal observations. |

Reindog Come on man!!! I thought you understood what was happening here. I saw you lighten up...a little. To recap; I was thread jacked. I took a shot a Meatloaf and the BadWeb Bullys have no humor. Anything that is said here that is contrary to the GOP platform is immediately shouted down. Funny or otherwise. I am just treating them as they treat others. Hello...Meatloaf sucks. Why would you argue that? Just because he likes Romney. That's crazy.} This Forum is being subverted by a few over published individuals with an ultra-narrow view of the world. It is less that 10 of them, I bet I could count them on both hands. They don't want to hear any other positions and don't want you to hear them either. Some of the Zealots here on the BadWeb are downright crazy...as evidenced by Sifo losing his F*C%ING mind and posting over 30 pictures that have nothing to do with this Threads topic. The acronym for this behavior is C.C.F.C.C.P. (Cookoo for Co Co Puffs) |

Truth be told, I was just looking at a site that had a bunch of those jokes on it when you were bitching about the lack of levity. I thought I would share with a levity bomb. I guess you really don't want levity though. Please feel free to engage us in discussion though. It will keep this board from being so one sided. If as you say, there's only a handful of people who share this view, it wouldn't take many to balance that. Of course it will help having some facts on your side. |

UM, I understand everything you are saying. However, you are passive aggressive and hiding behind your wall of "humor", not to mention being homophobic with your Ken/Aesquire nonsense. Don't feign surprise and victimhood when people push back. What did you expect when you started this thread and made subtle digs at Romney? I have been tempted to throw cow pies your way (and worse) but it would prove nothing. That said, I like meatloaf. I also like Meat Loaf. PS: Try reading some of the valuable resource AND PERSONAL COMMENTARY that FB1 has provided Badweb that you find so much disdain towards. I am grateful for it. |

Tom,you're absolutely right. I don't take anything seriously in this thread.Confusing to me is UM challenged us to post something we could laugh at and when Mr. Sifo actually DID,UM disparaged him for it. Speaking of Unions...Every time i hear that word i think of the famous movie line . "screw you..PAY me"! BTW,i'm as liberal as a Republican CAN be and Romney is for me. |

Due to new voter ID laws Meatloaf missed the voter registration deadline!!! You have reading comprehension issues don't you? This has nothing to do with voter ID laws. He just never registered to vote where he moved to. BTW, Your' the one who said I should lighten things up. Stop your cryin' before I give you something to cry about. I notice that you DON'T engage in actual dialog though. Good for you. It can damage your preconceived notions. |

Reindog No normal, non-brainwashed person could possibly filter through all for the "Cut and Paste" B^LLSHIT that Fb1 shyts out. If he has his own opinion or point of view it's indistinguishable from, and diluted by, his sheer number of copied thoughts. He is not the only "Cut and Paste KING", but he maybe the guiltiest! When I spend time with thoughtful liberals (I generally split a room with one on some of my favorite bike road trips) we have some occasional political discussions as they come up over good rum and good cigars, and I generally learn some things and am challenged to think through some other things. When I listen to you Union_man, ummm, let's just say that hasn't been happening. If you are trying to make a point, it's not working. If you are just trying to walk into a room filled with people you disagree with and pee all over the carpet, well, you are succeeding. Congratulations, you are "that guy", and I hope that's the world you aspire to live in. |

There's nothing new about having to actually register to vote. Showing ID is as American as apple pie. You want to vote? Prove who you are, and that you're eligible to do so. If he didn't register, he is not eligible. He can still use his celebrity (lol) to sway others and so can be helpful in that way. |

I've seen celebrity apprentice when meatloaf is on. There's no doubt in my mind if he were in charge and the military said they needed authorization to help American diplomats/military personnel being murdered in libya he would be on pins and needles seeing they got the help they needed. He wouldn't go to bed and Ritz it up the next day with jayz. So despite his quirkiness I think he could a better job with foreign affairs than our current admin and that's saying something. |

The "Boss" may be supporting BO, but the faithful seem to be way down in numbers. Back in '04 he brought in around 75,000 people to support Kerry just before the election. Now he is only drawing about 18,000 to support BO. Either Springsteen has lost favor, or BO has. http://www.breitbart.com/InstaBlog/2012/11/05/Madi son-Fail-Obama-Springsteen-18K-Kerry-Springsteen-7 5K |
