I'm not sure how many of you knew Cap Lillard, but he was a great guy. He died on Sunday due to complications from diabetes. It's hard to believe that someone so full of life could be gone so quickly. He gave Erik a guitar at Homecoming many years ago and got us all involved. I believe it helped renew Erik's passion for music as the Thunderbolts played for us the very next year. He was a wonderful spirit and I, for one will miss him. |

I was there when Cap gave the Stratocaster to Erik.It was a very emotional moment.Cap sang backup with me on a Beatles song when we had karaoke at Homecoming years ago.I also remember a time when he,hardly knowing me handed me the keys to his S1 and said,go have fun. He was a fun guy who didn't think twice about helping others. I've been wondering what became of Cap and am saddened to hear of his passing. |

This is very sad. Cap, part of the famed "Cap & Andy" duo embodied so much of what brings folks to Buell and continues to fill them with an enthusiasm that grows, rather than wanes, with time. For newer friends . . . Cap and Andy, during a time when some folks struggled with properly setting up the suspension on their Buells, sat up a tent in a parking lot at a Homecoming. While others partied and carried on . . Cap & Andy toiled . . .working their asses off to get bikes dialed in. They were both folks of common means with wealthy hearts who'd do nearly anything to help a friend. It saddens me to hear of Cap's passing but I celebrate all that he, and others like him, have brought to the Buell Community. Court |

I'll miss Cap. He was one of the good ones. He and Lurch stayed with us at my brother's place in Rapid City during the Sturgis Rally. Godspeed Cap. Greg |

Lol that last pic on the thread Has my dad in it, Thats when he had the Sportster Sport and the Orlando guys pushed his sporty over with the Aussie Ducatis next door. That was also the year we trashed the Blast at battle trax. Erik laughed and said they will fix it at the demo truck. Then some one told him it belonged to Daytona HD he said o shit and started laughing! That day Cap an Andy fixed brakes set up shocks forks and fixed any and all Broken Buells. The Bikes get you the Buell world the people keep you in |

He and I rode cross country to Laguna Seca a couple years ago, an epic ride. I'll never forget him. |
