I assume from the context, he is stripping out the inside of the bolt. Backing it out will not do much help if he can't get it to turn at all. Quality hex set is your best bet, unless the bolt is already too far gone, which doesn't seem all that likely. |

I think he is talking about the head of the bolt, not the shaft and threads. Its a quick throwaway question. Why wouldn't it be on the quickboard. If it's allen, go the next size up and touch it to a grinder until it fits. If its hex, try a different wrench, my more expensive ones seem built to better tolerances. Or a 8 point (instead of 16 pint) socket / wrench. |

Ahhh... Upon my regular morning caffeine uptake, I sit corrected. Good luck with those bolts- someone here other than me should have advice for the fix.

it was/is 6mm Took a rubber mallet and knocked it in a bit further and all was fine, near the end of the head it had started to strip a little though. 86 - nothing but class, keep it up, youre making us all look good |

Those are pretty hard bolts. Are you torquing them or just going by feel? Mine have been in and out several times and still look new. I would replace the bolts now that they are buggered, before you... have to next time. They are also easy to drill for safety wire. |
