Boy I am feeling lucky today. Check engine light comes on, get it checked out and it comes back as a failing cat. Big expense BUT I 4 days inside the 8 year emissions control warranty, NO CHARGE. I'm buying a lottery ticket!

COOL ! . . . . right up there with my transmission 2 years ago when I found that Geico covers "mechanical breakdown".

I causally mentioned, when talking to the insurance gal, that I was ticked about having to pay $3,400 for a transmission in an F-150 with 85,000 miles. She says "you're covered for that" and a week later the check comes.

Buy the lottery ticket and we won't have to eeeck out a living on royalties!

Why would a 85,000 mile F-150 need a trans? I see you talk up the Fords all the time but a major repair at 85,000. What was the problem?

You should've seen the saga with my SVT Focus I bought in Feburary. Just put it on the road. New clutch, flywheel, suspension, o2 sensors/cheater, thermostat, wiring harness...etc. All DIY!!

I could see an SVT F-150 with it's 400+ horsies needing a tranny at 85k!

Pictures!! My buddy has a badass silver SVTF-150

Yeah why would a modern vehicle crap out its tranny so soon?
Are f150 truck trannys weak?
I know they had some bad years for the powerstroke diesels.
