Oh I like fishing threads. Nice catch Joel. Got me 18 and 16 inch browns two weeks ago in the Root river in SE MN. I was so busy fishing I didn't take any pix this time. Here's from last year.

What breed of trout is that Joel, looks like a sub-species of some kind. I've been using an olive Wolf and olive caddis lately, they really go after the green tinted flies. |

I ran a fly fishing guide service on the Milwaukee River for about 3 years. Trout and Salmon. Nothing beats a green Caddis with an egg pattern dropper combo. What happened to Ryan and his fly rod business? |

@ Mnrider, it's a rainbow. it looks kind of weird because of the sunlight. in person it was really colorful. there are also a few cutthroat that i've caught recently. we've had a place on the yakima river for about 35yrs and i've never caught one until a few years ago, then few and far between. It's catch and release in the part where i fish, which is fine with me because i'd rather catch than eat. |

I'm all for catch and release also.caught about ten trout this year and didn't keep any. Kept the ones in the pic cause we were on a camping trip and my bud wanted to try them. |
