I am in the market for a nice textile jacket. Any suggestions, I would like something that I can wear everyday in every condition and a broad temp. range. I have a local dealership that has a Teknic freeway jacket on sale for $109. Anybody use one? I tried it on and really liked it, but I am going back on the bike to see how it feels when I am in the riding position before I commit to something I don't love. |

Well, I am not positive it is a freeway now that I think about it. I was in a hurry getting parts for my RZR and just tried it on and left. I know it was a teknic, but not sure on model. It may even be 1 or 2 years old. Our local Honda dealer is pretty small and mostly sell ATVs and a few goldwings, not many sportbikes. I am going back Monday to check it out again. After riding home in 50 degree weather with a pretty stiff north wind my leather jacket is not going to cut it on the Buell. It acts like a tent when I am riding, never did that on my Harleys. I have looked on the websites and can't find exactly what the jacket is. I know it has a bunch of adjustments on the wrist, forearm, bicep, and waist. Also has elbow, shoulder and spine protection. |
