No, not THAT Congress. I'm off to Columbus, OH next week to represent AMA District 34 at the annual AMA Congress. I was "volunteered" as an alternate a couple of years ago, and this year the primary Congresswoman decided she'd rather be on vacation in Australia than attend Congress in Ohio. Lucky me. At least I won't be the ONLY representative from my district there. Congressman Byrd has been attending for over a decade now so I'll basically just listen and take notes. Any other AMA Congressional Representatives here? If so, what has been your experience? I'll be leaving Long Island next week (Wednesday) just before sunrise to ride on down to Columbus. I should make it there by dinner time... need to find the nearest Skyline Chili! FWIW, I'll be staying at the Airport Marriot in Columbus (where the meeting is taking place). | ||

Arriving Wednesday evening, and leaving Saturday afternoon after the conference is over. I have to check the schedules to see if there are any planned dinners by the organization (I believe there is at least one). I'll let you know. | ||

Well, we're here! Best news of all, there's a Waffle House across the parking lot!! Looks like the AMA is feeding me while I'm here but maybe Saturday afternoon? Tonight I think we'll just eat in the hotel. | ||
