http://www.brp.com/en-us/company/news/brp-exit-spo rt-boat-market You should see the range of emotions over on the SeaDoo boat forums right now. It's just like this forum when Harley pulled the plug. Everyone of the owners is wondering how BRP could do this with so many loyal owners out there. But the numbers don't lie in their case. They have a factory that was putting out over 7000 boats/year at one time. They put out around 2000 last year and dealers have stock now at the end of the summer. On the flip side, Yamaha sells every boat they build and have pre-orders for almost every 2013. So the economy did not kill them. Sound familiar? |

The two happiest days in a boat factory owner's life are the day he opens it and the day he closes it. Or something about boats to that effect. |
