Hello Everyone! My Uncle Blake suggested I approach y'all Buell riders, to help raise funds for the National Brain Tumor Society. I'll be walking September 29 in their Dallas 5K to help raise awareness and funds for research about this terrible disease that has affected our family, and I need your help! All funds go to research, finding better ways of treatment and ultimately a cure. A little about our story: Nine months ago my father was diagnosed with GBM (a malignant fast growing brain tumor), which happens to be non-operable. We were told this disease would more than likely take his life. Which for us was a huge shock, because my dad is the healthiest person I know. He ran three miles every day and ate very healthily. We started a combination of radiation and chemotherapy in hopes of putting the tumor in remission. A month ago we found out that the tumor is growing again. While we still hope for a miracle, I also want to do something about finding a cure. There is just not enough information on how to treat the cancer or even what to expect when it comes to this disease because it is the brain. Whatever you can do, even passing this along helps, and your help is greatly appreciated!
