The blast is clean (for the most part). I've been ridding the blast a lot, mostly because the sprocket I made for the xb hasn't lasted as long as I thought it would, and after putting a different shock on the S1 the battery went south. So the blast has been my main two wheel transport. The wheels and anything below the number plates was black and a quick wash took an hour. I want to tear it down this winter and powder coat the frame, and a few other pieces that I didn't do when I built it this winter but I don't know if I'll have time. I want to do some vintage snowmobile racing, if I can find the right sled, this winter. Any one in MN have a '72-'73 Yamaha or Sno-jet 292 they want to sell? Matt

I actually rode this awesome bike during homecoming. Matt (Loose1) has the only FI Blast that I'm aware of. Did it himself! Matt is a very cool machinist! Easy to ride bike. And for the shorter inseams among us, easy to plant both feet when stopped. You'll never ride a "funner" bike. btw, good to see i'm not the only three-bike owner to have two temporarily down |

It is a fun bike, I guess that's why they called it a blast. Two seasons, did Gonzo get his misfire figured out? Erik has seen this bike a few times. Two years ago he wanted to ride it so bad. I told him the keys were in it, but he couldn't find the time. Its debut was at the last ride on that cold and rainy day, but it was mulit colored. I just need to design and cut a pulley for my buell/duc frankenstine swing arm on the xb this winter Thanks Matt |

That thing is so cool Just really killer work with the parts off the shelf and integrating them to the Blast. Great job - always one of my favorites. |

matt: no, afaik gonzo is still working on it. haven't seen him in awhile (i've still got his b/e mirrors, ecmspy cd/cable). i think it's related to the fuel maps as i've not had any issues with mine ever since you enriched my midrange and i did a tps reset again. |

Looks great Matt! I have to admit that while I thought it was cool when I saw it in Oct '09, I had no concept of your vision for it then so I may not have given it its due respect. Very nice! Mike |

I've not seen this bike before, I'm not a huge Blast fan, they were never sold here either. That bike however is 'kin lovely, very well done, if I was wearing a hat I'd take it off to you. |

Matt do the sleds have to be in MN? I have several riding buddies the are into vintage sleds and will ask around about the Yamaha and Sno-Jet. Love the Blast!! |

I rode it in the campgrounds knowing full well what a risk I was taking. If you ride it on the street, you start shopping for a used blast to work over. Just seeing it in a pic doesn't do it justice. A lot of thought went into it. And the execution is genius. |

Go a head Littlebuggles, post away. It would take a lot of money for me to let it go. I have a lot of work into it and I have some of my own designed parts, like the brake bracket, that I would not want to let out. The fuel injection was a fair bit of work too, the first and only as far as I know. And it got dirty this moring. It rained a little last night. Happens every time. Thanks Everyone, Matt (Message edited by loose1 on September 17, 2012) |

Matt, Your Blast looks better every time I see it. Still need to hook up with you regarding the shock reservoir brackets. Brad |

Brad, you and the Mrs. should come up to ST.Cloud and you can take it for a spin and I can take some measurements for a reservoir bracket. Matt |
