Better flat at home than flat on the side of the road.

Or flat mid knee-dragging curve.

When I broke one of those studs I didn't have any ez-outs so I drilled it then ground a taper on an allen key, hammered it in & got the bit out.

It's already out. I used an offset hole, punch, applied some penetrating lube and heat to loosen her up, then drilled a big shallow hole for a pipe extractor. After finding everything else locally I had to order the damn isolator kit.

Had one of those moments today too.

Doing a few odd jobs on the M2 & WTF? the locating pin for the rear pads & it's screw in lock plug are missing entirely.
I searched frantically through all my old bits & pieces thinking that I know I've got another one somewhere, but no joy.

So to get myself out of trouble, I took a 6mm Allen headed bolt ground it's head down a bit & then threaded it. It's doing the job for the moment until I can get a proper one.

(Then I'll find the one I thought I had all along)
