Sorry it took so long to post these to all the guys who helped me find the last remaining NEW side-cover on the planet (REALLY!) For those who didn't see it the first time: Like zero miles, stored indoors, from original owner, ran yearly after fluid changes, BLA-BLA-BLA! http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.3959206973404.199663.1077172202&type=3&l=7615e193ea

Very cool, but the question now is are you going to take a mint, zero mile bike that old and ride it, or put it in your living room, or sell it on ebay to the highest bidder? |

I have enough bikes of all flavors to ride. I don't like the idea of making it a "garage queen". The idea of selling it to some newbie kinda seems like a waste. So I am stuck....what would you guys do if it were yours? |

Thinking about a hack-saw and some drab green-black-yellow paint. cut the headers off, AT A ANGLE, just past the side cover. Get my self a beanie and worn jean-jacket, drop 15 teeth off the rear sprocket, club-man bars and see if she will "Do the ton" as they say in my homeland........Help, somebody stop me before it is to late!!!!. This post multi-organ transplant shit is driving me crazy. (Caption Kirks voice-over) "must go look at my other bikes...must not give in,....must go look"...don-don don, dont-na, dont-na, dan-dan-dan, don-ta-naaaa, dan-ta na-dan-ta naaa.."I dont think shee can take-anymor, Captin"

There is something major I am starting on...Lets just say nobody builds a bike I want for under 10 grand, so I guess I will do it myself. Think under 325lbs with major torque and 100ish H.P. Will post pics as it progresses. I am SLOWLY getting the parts I need....AS for which one to ride? I like the DRZ due to it's ridiculous cornering speed, but the brakes and engine kinda lack (I did all the mods and might have picked up 10 horses) but A CRF-450 motor would be more-me, due to many years racing M.X, I guess. The duck is smooth, fun and fast, but it is my wife's (lowered) and I feel silly on it. The Buell is my fave, all the usual upgrades with my own intake design, my own pipe and a fuel-ignition map that makes this thing almost scary fast ( will auto rotate on full throttle shifting into 3rd) I am installing a 12 primary to soften the power-hit a bit, and increase top end speed (now rev-limted) If homecoming had not been so crappy this year, I would of let anyone ride it to see..as then there is no B.S! I also have surprised a few poorly-ridden 1125s (they said I must have a turbo, Ha-Ha) |
