Hey folks, I've been on this forum for several years, but I don't post much. Although you don't really know me, I sorta know you. Sorry I'm just not real chatty on forums. A few years ago I started a "Sportster get-together" in Shady Valley TN (US421 aka The Snake). Each year we get a few more friends.. and thats how we like to keep it: friendly and personal. Since the founders of this shin-dig are now riding other bikes, we've gotten away from the whole "sportster event" idea. The thing we have in common is our absolute coolness and love for biking. And with all that said: I'd like to invite you all out for a weekend of mountain riding and camping. We'll be at Switchback Creek the first weekend in OCT. Saturday is generally our group-ride day, but this isn't one of those events where you're expected to do anything but have fun. A quick search w/ google will land you on the website for switchback creek. And, a quick search of youtube will net many videos of US421. Check it all out, and if its sounds like something you might enjoy, grab your camping gear and meet us in Shady Valley. |

Sorry about the timing, but a large group of us will be hitting North Georgia for Buelltoberfest Oct 10-14. Sounds like a similar ride/meet. No membership, no real rules, just friends meeting for some awesome riding and gatherings. There is a thread here about Buelltoberfest and one in Storm Fronts. You are welcome to come along if you have two weeks off! I have ridden in your area several times in the past, but I have not been out much this past year. The Snake is a truly awe inspiring ride. The area roads are great also. |

Buelltoberfest sounds like fun, but I'll be in Rockingham NC for the AHDRA races. I wish I could make it but the addiction must be fed Thanks for the heads up |
