The XR1200 races at BSB at my local track (Cadwell park ) were fantastic to watch :-) ...... helped by the fact that Cadwell Park as to be about the best circuit in the world  and 5 miles from my front door :-) |

We refer to it as "Tractor Racing." I found it amusing that the new Moto3 bikes which are four stroke, 250cc singles, were turning far faster lap times than the 1200cc twins.
But you have to remember that Moto3 bikes have been designed from the ground up as pure race bikes, not converted overweight cruisers. A Moto3 bike probably weighs less than the XR1200 engine, let alone frame and forks too! |

Being a Yamaha fan, that suits me just fine. Funny how, in nearly EVERY magazine comparison, the R1 rates near the bottom of the current crop of Superbikes... yet the two Joshes are just dominating the field with it anyway.
It's also great fun seeing the progression of the two EBR 1190RS bikes. C'mon, that's the real reason most of us are watching AMA Pro Superbikes, isn't it?? |

Some blokes belt around on 1930's era 350's and take it seriously.
Any class of racing is dull if you aren't interested in the class. |

I'm all for class racing...
I think it was last year and I was facebooked to a H-D(spit)link and some Dolt was commenting on the XR Series with a stupid quote that said something like I love seeing H-D win!...typical mentality |
