I'm in the Georgia Mountains and it's COOL this morning. Blairsville is frosty! Going to ride up to the campground just to find it today but will stay at my friends tonight and make a run over tomorrow. Sorry to hear a few can't make it. Hey Vern, put the BAW on so I can keep up with you!! |

The boss made some of her OMG chili to make sure one of our return touring campers got his chance to get some on this trip. All I can say is "thank you for inspiring her", it smelled so great all of last night that I had to have some for breakfast! The crock pot is making me drool. This will be an all day problem. |

DAMMMIIITTT.
This IS chili weather here lately! Me and the GF (mainly her) have canned several jars of chili starter out of our garden- she's got enough tomato sauce from her last batch off the stove to can this weekend, plus another good basket of chilies to pickle... wish I could contribute to tonite's shindig!
I'm paying my bills by the day again, first time in a LONG time for this- HAAAATING it.
Youn's enjoy the chili and the Vernal hospitality- here's wishing to be there, and there in GA tomorrow...

Well, after getting the bike ready, it ain't ready.
The battery is dead and gone.
I guess I should have thought of that.
It's been sitting for most of the year, and the battery was already four years old.
I'm headed over to the tag office as soon as Colin decides it's ok to get out of the shower, I have no idea how anyone can take such a long ass shower, I didn't think the hot water could last this long.
Anyhow, I'll hopefully have a battery by tonight.
It's Thursday, and Thursday is Man Night.
Shred, Smokescreen, New12r, and anyone else that tags along parties every Thursday, I'm really hoping I get to ride to Man Night,  and not have to take the truck again....
or ride with Charlie in the MiniVan
Ya ever see someone ride a wheelie in a minivan?
All kidding aside.
Please please please ride safe, leave your ego at home, and just enjoy riding.
This ain't no race, and if you're being out paced, don't try to catch up, who ever you're riding with will wait for you, I know I will.
It'd be awesome if there were no accidents this year!!! |

We had some good food last night! Oh look.....it's ride at your own risk day!
Due to an old injury/aliment/medication/allergic thing/ complication, I will not be riding Friday, but if it is possible I will try to get there Saturday. Go&^%$*& /uck&^%$# getting older can have it's draw backs.
I gotta call TVA today to explain the power spike from my place when Frogister plugged in all of his electronic gismoes. They will at least have to get with someone to reset the satellites that must be following him! |

I was diagnosed yesterday with "multilevel degenerative disc disease" and something else called "advanced osteo arthritis".
I'll be gimping my way up to Skeenah tomorrow morning, rickety bones and all. |

Last night was fun. Had a couple missing, but they have little ones at home, so they're excused.
LightingDave showed up, so we sat around and laughed at the debate, at Smokescreen's house.
Mike, everyone says "HI" right back atcha!
Turns out I didn't get a battery last night.
But, one of Colin's friends returned a favor last night and let me ride his Ninja to Man Night.
That's a whole different animal. Very little torque, very nimble, had to plan out every little thing with that bike.
It'd take some getting used to that's for sure.
Did I mention it's a 250? 
Getting the battery this afternoon, so if all goes according to pan, I'll see y'all tomorrow morning.
Got the camera ready, I'll try to get the GoPro from Charlie (New12r) also, if his plans change. |

Damned coyotes may keep me from enjoying a ride with y'all. 
I repaired and added onto the coop, then tried to hunt them suckers down.
I think I may have found a den, but no pups or anything, only sign.
I don't wanna have to go out at night, but I may have to.
I'm shooting for tomorrow, but I'm afraid I'll be as busy as today... |

I arrived Saturday morning to a group of Buellers who were just stirring about, had some tea and conversation at the pavilion.
Over at the campground, I encountered some guys wrenching on an XBS.

A few of us had ridden to Rider's Hill and then I split off with Froggy and friend in search of some good BBQ.
Alas, it was not to be.
I wish I hadn't gotten the dates screwed up so I could have camped out with the wife
and imbibed some fine spirits with like minded folk.
There's always next year! |
