As many of you will be aware my Super TT got punted a couple of months back. To cut a long story sideways I'm still in "discussion" with the insurance on getting it repaired or replaced, inertia seemed to be the order of the day until I threatened to take the RV, House & cars insurance elsewhere. Now the file has been kicked upstairs & things appear to be moving in the right direction. None of this however was helping my riding season along, BUT it gave me the necessary impetus to get the M2 put back together after 5 years in bits. Finished it on Friday, my new HJC R-PHA MAX helmet arrived yesterday & I've been out all day today in the Alps in perfect riding weather. Many many thanks to those who gave me parts to resurrect my baby, from both sides of the pond, you know who you are & you'll always be welcome at my house. Thanks also to Twin Motorcycles in Holland for great service. Here's some pics.

Very nice. I "un-Low'd" the ex's M2L with X1 forks and a standard shock mount, and put a Buell race exhaust and CR mirrors on it. It needs tires...and tags. But with four tagged and insured...I can't justify a fifth on the road at the moment. (shrug). Nice to see yours on the road again, it is a beauty! I love the M2 - my first Buell was a '99 M2, which is why I'm so glad to have one in the garage. Good luck with the insurance! |

Nice!. Don't hear much about the M2 these days, but it is such a cool and versatile bike. You can do a lot of things with it. Mod wise that is. |

What kind of tire, err, tyre is on the front? Looks like a rain tire. |

Front tire looks to be a Michelin Pilot Road 3. |

Cyclone resurrections are exciting! Made it whole and then some. It's encouraging too, mine is causing my depression, hanging there waiting. Way to go man! Looks and is great! Rotzaruck! |

Oddalloy, wins a coconut. Spot on that man. I put a PR3 on the XB & it was so solid & confidence inspiring I decided to fit one on the M2 as well. Transitions from dry to wet pavement in hairpin bends & it doesn't even squirm. Thanks all for your kind comments. |

Very Nice! Love the IOM sticker. I've never heard of the G-force muffler. Where does that come from? |

I rode it to the Centenary TT, that was the "on-site only", giveaway sticker. Don't know where the can's made, I picked it up new off e-bay uk 5 or 6 years back in stainless with lifetime warranty. US distributor appears to be, REVs Performance in Covington, GA. |

Update, One of my neighbours, another expat brit, did me a big favour today & picked me up from Geneva on the return from a short trip. In the car on the way back he said "Hey, do you know there's somebody else on the estate with a Buell? It's got a stupidly loud exhaust I'm going to have to find out who it is & ask him to tone it down." OOOPS!!! When I didn't immediately reply he looked over & saw the silly grin on my face. "It's you! you daft f****r isn't it?" I had to admit that yes it was me, he then went on to tell me that a couple of other residents had been whingeing about it too. So I've just put the stock can back on til I can pick up a db killer. I have to confess in all honesty that it is stupidly loud, & as such I wasn't enjoying riding it as much as I might for fear of getting a tug due to the noise. Yeah I'm getting old. |
