How do you cash out stock certificates? My wife has a few from Kohls and they are burning a hole..... and with the market doing pretty good... now would be a good time. How do you go about converting them into green backs? |

Any brokerage firm (Scottrade, Ameritrade, etc.) can do it if you have an account, if not you may want to inquire at your bank. There may also be an option to send them to the corporation to sell. You will likely be charged a fee to do any of these. |

Do you physically have the certificates or have them held somewhere? If you physically have the certificates, any bank or brokerage firm can sell these for you. If you have them held at on account somewhere, they should be able to sell these for you as well. The fees are negotiable. If you have a bank account at a local bank that provides investment services, I would start there. You can use your existing relationship to negotiate the fees to sell. |
