Hey, got my porch pass for a four day furlough and some friends and I are going to Cleveland to the rock and roll hall of fame museum. Then over to Sandusky for a day of roller coasters and back home. What's the HAVE TO eateries in the area? We'll be entering Ohio at Aberdeen and making a NE route before heading due N up to Cleveland and who knows at this point the route back to KY. If that gets rained out our #2 is western Ky. to the Mississippi down to Memphis which in my opinion would be better eating but none of us have been to Cleveland or Cedar Point which is a big draw. Thanks for any advice on the grub joints. |

There's Melt in Lakewood, OHIO. It's on Man V. Food. There's also PaperMoon Winery in Vermillion, OHIO, which is in 90/Rt2 between Cleveland and Sandusky. |

There is an awesome Fried Chicken place in Memphis call Gus's World Famous Chicken. It's down town not far from Beal street. (Message edited by jim2 on August 06, 2012) |

There's also the "A Christmas Story" house, the actual house used for the exterior shots (the inside was later converted to look like the interior rooms from the movie). Across the street is the museum/ gift shop. Leg Lamp, anyone? |

DANG, wish I knew about the Christmas Story house, I would have loved to see that. We went up to Cleveland (from Ontario/Mansfield) on Saturday in the rain. Checked out the R&R museum which was a good way to burn 3 or 4 hours. Stopped by the Thirsty Parrot and met some friends then rode some of the lake. Just outside Cleveland stopped by Papa Nick's pizza which was delish. Made it to Sandusky on Sunday and closed down Cedar Point, great time, although the $12 each to park a bike is a rip-off, but whatcha gonna do? 872.2 miles round trip made for a good time riding, only getting wet a few times. |
