Kevin return ferry Dover / calais or return train dover / dunkirk would cost you less than 50£ . Why don't you come over a day earlier? We could take our buells to the german eifel awesome area (Message edited by Dutch x1 on September 19, 2012) |

Plan on retiring part time to northern Italy in less than a decade. Which Buell should I take? |

Which Buell should I take? Tricky question. The problem being none of them are "Euro" models so you may have hoops to jump through to get any of them registered. Can't say about Italy but in France everything needs the E mark on it, right down to indicator lenses, tyres may need to be changed, anything non std is a nightmare. If you're only taking one, I'd say the 12X, it's the most versatile for the roads. In your shoes though, I wouldn't bother. I'd buy local & save all the hassle & cost of shipping & customs duty etc etc.

We'll be about 1/2 hr from the Normandy beaches for the historically inclined, & I plan on having a big toybox, sorry I mean workshop. |

Thanks grumps you're probably right. Should just buy local when I get there. We'll hoist a cappuccino at an alpine pass rifugio when I get there. First one is on me. |
