Microwaving stuff is all the rage with the kids these days. Check youtube for microwaved cell phones etc. |

I guess our youth of today escapes me. And the value of this is? Nothing like wasting a perfectly good product. Wonder if he ever went home and announced to his parents that they were ruining the world. |

What? How is what he did any different than say someone buying a new motorcycle and, painting it, lowering it, stretching the swing arm, putting spikes all over it, a loud muffler, and a car tire? The answer is nothing, except the microwave guy makes money doing it. |

Well the main difference between a bike that has been tardified and a microwaved piece of electronics is.....the bike will still run and drive. It's still a motorcycle...maybe not your taste, but still a working motorcycle. A melted piece of electronics is just a pile of melted garbage. |

orman has a great point. But I see what Froggster is saying about making money. If I were cashing in on YT I'd be willing to do the same |

Ok fair point, what about demolition derbies? There is a good chance you won't end up with a working vehicle after its all said and done, but people still do it. Why? It is fun, entertaining, and hell you might even make a few dollars if you are lucky. There is some serious coin to be made on Youtube, how else do you think the Epic Meal Time guys can afford to make those gigantic meals every week? |

The guy microwaving the device is simply destroying things for the heck of it. The guy destroying the bike thinks he is improving it. The demolition derby is also wanton destruction, but at least it's fun to watch. Nuking a Kindle isn't entertaining at all. At least not to me. To each his own I guess. It's his money, and his Kindle. |

You kinda have a point about a demo derby but generally those cars are headed for the scrap yard or even "rescued" from the yard for one last hurrah. I have never seen anyone drive a brand new car off the lot straight into the derby. |

Ok, that brings up another question: "Who the hell has time to watch all these stupid videos?" I don't have time to watch TV or spend much time on the computer much less waste my life on useless crap like that. It probably explains the politicians that we have right now. |

He makes money. It is his money. He can do whatever he damn well pleases with it. If he does not make enough money via watchers of his videos, I expect he will stop destroying devices. I have more respect for a melted kindle than a stretch limo fat tire chrome plated whatever, because at least you don't have to be seen using a melted kindle... |
