I bought an xr a few months back and have been working on getting it fixed up and plated and today was that day. Boy does that thing just RIP!!! Anyone here have any advice on upgrades or gearing? I know I can go to another forum and I will but they all seem so full of punks that I am dreading it. A Buell adventure bike cant come soon enough! |

AdvRider is a great forum for this type of thing, better people than most of the smaller more specific bike forums I've seen. |

I keep my vintage twinstar as well as my xl and a few atc's, a kawasaki tecate and kx250 alive with new oem parts from powersportspro.com they also offer parts for suzuki and yamaha. If for nothing else the online parts diagrams are very helpful to those of us who purchase motorcycles in crates. |

I wish I could have scored the Honda twin XLV750 when they were made - damn yummy. |

This might not be an upgrade, exactly, but it's a fun project based on a '94 XR600R:
