Just found this today, not sure if its been posted here before. WWW.transamtrail.com it looks like it took him 15 years to put this entire route together. Looks like a good ride for the future Buell adventure bike! |

Scott - I actually purchased some of the maps for the TAT. We had plans to ride part of it this spring. Our plans got changed but I fully intend to check it off my bucket list in the next few years. There's some really good videos on YouTube and Vimeo that document the various terrain the TAT runs through. There's even several of a couple of guys who bought old Honda 305 Dreams and did it on them. It looks like the trip of a lifetime to me. |

There are MANY threads about TAT rides at ADVrider.com. At least one guy has done it on a Uly! |

Do you know off hand the good videos to watch. All I see is just videos of guys riding. Which is cool but Id like some more voice to learn about different parts of the trail. |

Scott - Not off hand. Stuck at w*rk. Some of the better ones I've seen are on Vimeo. Type in TAT or Trans America Trail in your search. I haven't seen any that were technical, most are just riding/GoPro vids. Probably out of respect for the guy who spent all those years stringing these roads together and creating the maps. Word is he's working on some new routes and amendments to the TAT. The maps aren't cheap but I've heard no bad reviews so apparently they are worth it. Wish I could be more help but all I have right now is three unused maps and the dream. |

This is the first time I have heard of "roll charts" looks like a fairly easy concept, anyone have any advice on tips and tricks for using roll charts. Or a good roll chart holder. I will check vimeo out. |

Scott, https://vimeo.com/user2575819/videos Michael Murray's video page on Vimeo. He has 7 posted that are broken down into states... the same way you purchase the maps. Hope this helps. Court... it WILL be a good time since Reep is going. Have you seen the gadgets that man has clamped to his handlebars? |

https://vimeo.com/7406820 This is prolly one of the best intro videos to the TAT. Short but tempting if you're an adventure nut like me. |

Scott, This is the guy I was looking for in my first reply. This is K-rad on Vimeo. His videos are excellent. He also has a humorous intro to the TAT called Advise - Monty Python Style. Anyways this is his page. There are 7 sequential videos in state order east to west. Very cool. https://vimeo.com/user1075890 |
