Today, I interviewed for a job, and if I get it, I'll be working 7 days a week for a few months. I'm about 90% sure that I'll be getting the call early this coming week, so this weekend might be the last time I get to put some serious miles on my bike for a while. So; from penny pinching mode, I'm going to switch to BBQ ingestion mode for a day, and take a ride to the Dinosaur. I would suggest the Harlem location, but when I rode through the City a few weeks ago, traffic was all snarled up because of the construction on the George Washington Bridge. So, I think I'll just have to be content with riding over to Troy, NY to the Dinosaur there. I plan to be there at Noon this Saturday. Would anyone care to join me? |

I'll be in the city this weekend, so that is a no go for me. |

We'll be visiting our daughter who lives on 105th St, so we will go to the Harlem location. |

Well; The tres Hombres (Ribs, Brisket & Pulled Pork with a double side of beans) was as good as usual, but the roads I took home were Spectacular. I took pretty much boring roads south from Troy to Hudson; but then it was all secondary roads through the Taconics and the Berkshires and even east of them. I took, Rt. 23 to US 20W to Rt. 112 to Rt. 116 to Rt. 47 to Rt. 63. It was light on traffic, and heavy on twists and turns. I saw an enormous deer, a whole gaggle of geese, two wild turkeys and a Bald Eagle and a bunch of dead possums. I had a good meal and a good ride. |

Just a quick postscript; I got the job! Their hourly rate is more than I was expecting, and I'll be working some heavy hours, but that means that maybe I can get out of this financial hole I've been in. I'm so happy I could dance! |

I need to make a Dino run. I'm nearly out of Wango Tango BBQ sauce. Yeah, I know I can order it online, but where's the fun in THAT?? |

I can buy Wango Tango, Original Slathering Sauce and Garlic Honey (or whatever it is) in my local grocery store! Sorry I missed this, but I couldn't have made it anyway - was out in Utica last weekend (and again this weekend) finishing my last steps in becoming an MSF Rider Coach. |
