Nice! Here's on of mine from today's ride, not far from Montrose, CO.
We're hoping we can survive the heat and make it to the Pacific coast. The first 2 days from Chicago to Denver were brutal with temps going over 105 both days. |

Yesterday I did find out that my Sprint ST doesn't like to restart after a 10 minute shut down in close to 110 degree heat. I really don't blame it.

that looks like Blue Mesa Lake along Hwy 50, east of montrose. It's only going to get hotter, before it gets cooler, Utah, and Nevada are not very cool states, temperature wise. |

That was Blue Mesa Lake. Utah and Nevada are going to be as much of a dash as possible. We've learned to stop just about every hour so soak our jackets and helmet liners with water. It's like 20 minutes of AC, then the blast furnace goes back on. Coming into Denver we hit a headwind that had to be about 50 MPH! It felt like doing about 130. It only lasted a few minutes luckily. It's been an interesting trip so far. |
