I was just browsing ebay and came across this buell http://www.ebay.com/itm/1997-Custom-Pro-Street-Cho pper-Bobber-Buell-Tube-Frame-Cyclone-/180908391482 ?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a1efaf c3a&vxp=mtr Im not an engine builder, but know some of you gentlemen are educated on this matter. This guy is saying its 113CuInch motor, stock bored 30over. Stock is 74ci, thats quite a leap in displacement, is this possible? Not looking to buy, was just curious if the seller was full of BS or what. I mean, yes, definitely full of BS on the 'superb handling'....I have a tube frame that is set up, chassis, identical (6over arm, strutted, put a strap on the front end lowering it, my dragbike aint much of a handler) |

LOL at "superb handling" nice rear shock there. I wonder how much it's actually stroked? |

I was curious. If S&S were to sell a thing like that, surely they would advertise it! http://www.sscycle.com/product/Sportster/Engine-Ki ts-c31/ I see no 113 option. |

looked, there are two posts right on top of each other - same bike, same info....except the 113ci part isnt on the second one. Like i said, my track bike is strutted, lowered, and stretched: dont handle worth a lick and is NOT comfortable on anything besides very smooth ashphault or the dragstrip. Usually the return roads make me feel like a bobblehead and is very painful |

What is the suspension or lack of suspension on that bike? It looks like it is a threaded rod of some sort. Does that turn the bike into the equivalent of a rigid bike? |

Would you typically only do this on a drag bike? Or is another reason that you would do this? |

on a dragbike it is beneficial (unless you have the coin to spend on finding the right combination for rear suspension), you want the chassis stiff, not flexing. At least on a bar bike (what I have, wheeliebars). On a street bike, the only reason that I could see would be to lower the bike, as I dont know/think it'd be possible to lower a tubeframe any other way. |

There were lowering links available at one point for tuners, changed the front mount I believe. |

That thing would certainly beat your eyes out on the street and be seriously dangerous in a bumpy corner. Actually there were three Pro Stock teams in the late 80's that experimented with rear 4 link suspension AND wheelie bars. Obviously it didn't work out, but some good minds tried it...think Gast, Bryce and Hines. |
