Henry is the VERY proud owner. He is planning on riding it to the Denver Buell Club's first Sunday monthly breakfast meeting in July. The pics do not do it justice. He started it for us and OMG!!! He said it was dynoed at 195 HP at the rear wheel!!! It is the only bike that is the burnt orange and the only 1190rs in Colorado.

Yeah Spike. Its got to be one of the best sounding bikes I have ever heard. Engine is very quiet and tight sounding, very little mechanical noise. The race exhaust is NOT quiet. Hard to believe it is street legal here in Colorado. I want one! |

It probably became street legal in Colorado BEFORE the race pipe. |

I just talked to Henry the owner of the 1190rs. He said if anyone has any questions about the bike, to just ask and he would be glad to answer to this post or otherwise. Nice guy! |

Funny thing. I saw that bike today too. I was showing some biker guys at work pics of it, and one of 'em said Sun has one in their showroom. Could that be true??? But it's not gonna be that Orange... |

Road Racing World just wrapped up there test. The bike EBR supplied put out 148 rwhp. It took 4th over all in the test but had the lowest HP numbers. |

I think this bike was custom made and tuned for Henry. Not a stock bike from what I understood from our discussion yesterday. |

I would also assume that if a magazine was going to do a comparo on a bunch of bikes, they would all be box-stock down to the dumb little warning stickers. |

I doubt very much that Sun HD has one since they ARE NOT a buell dealer. |

EBR stated on their FB page that the bike given to the testers was a demo/trial bike that had been extensively torture tested, beatin, and MANY hours on the dyno. Becuase they couldnt afford to supply a new and fresh one, so that might of had something to do with it, all they did was slap some new body work on it so i assume thats why the numbers were low. Also depends alot on the dyno, some read high and some read low, the Ducati made alot less than i was expecting in the low 160's o believe. https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid= 361759857214239&id=156869721036588 Jake |

Jake all the race bikes spend time on a Dyno.... tuning. I'm quite sure they didn't send a bike that was tired low compression and ready for the Horse pasture.lol |

Maybe a little something funny going on here. It would seem if the 1190 is "that" far down on H.P. they could not be running as well in AMA SB as they are. NOW I do fully understand about race tuning and maybe the bike supplied to the test was not in that condition but..............? |

Bob, Remember the bike EBR sent was none race prepped bike. EBR does a few things to get them up to SB HP specs. Its HP is actually pretty good out of the box. The KTM isn't much better. |

RRW dyno numbers are actually pretty incorrect. Bad situation - dyno was inside a trailer on a 110 degree ambient day. No airflow to intake, and not representative of actual power. EBR hurt more by this than other brands because it's intake location bothered more by non real world test situiation. You will see more correct numbers in forthcoming CW test of the same bike actually the next day. And yes, it was a well used engineering test bike and a bit down on power, but only a few HP down on a new stock one, lol S1. |

But then again I've seen the GSXR's,the BMW,and the R1 last year on dyno personally and seen very close numbers to what the 3 I mentioned. I guess the factory Dynojet Semi wasn't good enough??? The operator doesn't look like hes sweating at al in the trailer. http://roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=48448 (Message edited by bads1 on June 15, 2012) |

We've seen these bikes on the dyno also compared to the 1190, and the dyno in that truck on that day turned out bad numbers. You will see in the CW test of the same bike. We just dynoed it here on our dynojet and it made 163 HP. No way it would have had the second fastest lap times if it were 40HP down. You may now return to your endless Buell/EBR hate, BadS1. |

Annony... I have no EBR hate...love the bike and love what they have accomplished. I like all the bikes in that test. So when I seen the bikes dyno'd.... all I'm sayin is the numbers that they gave the GSXR,BMW,ZX10 and the R1 seemed to be pretty honest numbers that can be compared with the bikes tests even in CycleWorld magazine and others. How can be that they are pretty close but then the legit DynoJet factory truck is off my 15 HP on the EBR.I'm only asking so keep your snide comments about me hating EBR to yourself because thats untrue. I think I've done enough for the Buell community that proves that. |

Bads1 annon clearly stated that the EBR suffers more from its intake location which NEEDS a constant airflow due to it being between the radiators, where as the others have theirs in the front fairing thus not requiring the airflow since it doesnt have nearly the heat to deal with, AND the EBR has ram air which REQUIRES...well AIR to work. Thats what I got out of that... Jake |
