No, I didn't spell "Strom" wrongly...
As I type TS Beryl is doing her best to rearrange my garden furniture.
Nothing too scary yet. I'm about 6 miles from the Beach & all we are seeing is rain & wind gusts up to 45 MPH.
If y'all are in the path of this rainmaker, stay safe & if you need anything, just holler!

Hey Chris,

We are getting some bands here in the inland area, nothing too crazy yet. Yesterday for my class we had 30+ mph gusts that blew over trash cans and sent paper debris everywhere. Made for some (messy) real world conditions and started some discussions about riding safely in windy conditions.

Got some rain this afternoon so the XT got a bath and I discovered a need to re-seal my shoulder seams and knee seams as there was leakage. I'm way less grumpy finding out the shortcomings of my gear here at home versus in the northwoods 3 hours away from my sisters house in a torrential rain like last year.

Stay safe, and hope tomorrows not a total washout for y'all.

Glad to hear you got your gear issues sorted.
I just spent 20 minutes outside in the rain checking my 1 piece "Survivor" suit. My wife thinks I'm crazy!
We are getting plenty of rain & some fairly high winds but nothing special on the Fla scale of storm conditions.
The general opinion is that we are gonna get a lot of rain for the next 3-5 days.
Obviously, still got power so all is well.

"I just spent 20 minutes outside in the rain checking my 1 piece "Survivor" suit. My wife thinks I'm crazy!"

LOL, Hope your gear fared well. Greg expects that nonsense from me, it's the neighbors and my son that give me the hairy eyeball. My favorite is donning new rain gear during the day and "testing" it in the sprinkler system. Makes for more "real world" conditions than just hopping in the shower.

No leaks (Despite crash testing it last year)
Our Resident's Association go a bit doolally if I put the sprinklers on when I'm not supposed to.
I refuse to stand in the shower w/rain gear on & jumping in the pool is not an option. So, I am left with walking around the backyard when it rains.
It's all good though.
I hope this TS Beryl mess doesn't impact you too badly.

um...do NOT cover a bike outside in high winds.

"Sail".

'nuff said.

I do like the blue reflective rim stripes, though!

Yeah learned years ago that bikes although not equipped to sail will try to.

Nothing to see here.
Some wind, some rain, some hysteria from the local news weather guys.
The biggest problem I had was an overflowing pool.
There were a few trees down around town & some localized flooding but nothing unusual for this area.
