And you are surprised ? If you have been following the auto show mainstream press - this is the FIRST year I can remember that China's auto show got more press and spectacle than Detroits. Expect more of the same, remember the Chinese 'own' 257 'free trade tariff zones' on American soil (Including 50 square miles outside of Boise Idaho) and of course their recent buy of American Bank Chain.... Dealing with the Chinese may be a double edged sword but more cars will be sold in China this year than in the US (Buick's biggest buyer has been China for years). It'd be hard to sit on the sidelines and watch every other auto maker make money there. |
