Hard to believe Guy hasn't won an Isle of Mann TT yet
Some people believe he never will unless he takes his racing a bit more seriously, and stops messing around with his trucks/mountain bikes/TV career. My brother thinks he is the best thing since sliced bread, I'm still undecided about Mr Martin, although he certainly has the raw ability.
I have been to Northern Ireland about a dozen times but was never in country for the NW 200. I have however driven about half of the circuit and can say that the roads are just BUELLTIFUL!!! I did however got to check out the Cookstown 100 while there.
This year he had a MASSIVE ccrash in the 600 Supersport race at around 140mph along the sea front, but managed to walk away with only mild concussion. He must be using up his 9 lives pretty quickly!! He reckons he will be fit for the TT but it isn't the ideal preparation, especially as his main rivals had good results at the NW200!!
To put it into perspective, Guys crash was on this section of road that Damnut posted earlier I think.....(although obviously without the parked cars in the way!)
At 140mph + he is a very lucky man to walk away at all !
If I ever manage to retire I want to spend a summer watching all the Irish road races. they are insane! Make the TT course look like the safest place on earth.
