I have one of these:
I have never used it and its been sitting in my tail bag for 2 yrs... well, the accessory plug broke and I was wondering if I could solder one from another cable I had laying around. (or wire it direct to my battery like my charger or my heated vest?) I have what looks like a trim nail in the center of my rear tire right thru the thickest meat of it. (tire is flat) I have a regular plug kit and can go to the gas station and fill it up once it's fixed but will have to remove the tire and I don't want to if I don't have to. |

Yup, it's a basic 12v deal, so just get the right wires on the right terminals and it will fire right up. The pump will work, it will just take a while and get hot. I don't know if slime will seal it once the nail is removed. But it should patch fine if you pull the tire and patch from the inside. There is a slight risk of catastrophic failure if there is some internal damage to the tire carcass, but I've never had a problem with an internal patch. |

Yes, use the plug and connect it the same way. If I recall correctly, it won't even matter if you get the polarity backwards; the motor will run in reverse, but it will still pump air. |

Not a big fan of the "slime" sealant, but you got lucky with the placement of the nail- hopefully your plug kit has a T-handle, they're much better for leverage than the screwdriver handle types... Funny, but I just got done using my Slime compressor to pump up the lawnmower tires... |

Yea.... i had that solar battery charger thing i bought a while back.... it came with extention cable so i clipped that now i can use both the compressor and the crappy solar charger. I have the plug in.... looks like crap but if it holds im good with that. I ride on 295andto turnpike for 45 min ... thats the longest i will take her till i get a new one. Scorpion trail 190. As i typed this... she just finished airing up.. 42psi and holding. Oh yea! |

It's really 1.5 hrs to work with 45 min on highway but I don't ride there everyday, I hadn't been on my bike since my surgery feb29th, but doc cleared me so now can ride at will.
Also got this in the mail the other day:
the front rotor needs mounting though!! WTH?? |
