after the key on my blast was left on it wiped out my battery.put in new batt. and have no spark.could it have fried ign.or coil or something else?gotta get it running my son is itching to ride and take his road test soon. |

I've heard that doing that can damage an electronic ignition, but have never been sure if it's true or just an urban legend. |

that used to happen on bikes that had points-style ignition. shouldn't happen with a hall effects sensor. so no, leaving the key on shouldn't short-out your ignition coil. how are you testing to see if it has spark? |

by grounding plug on head bolt.if side stand switch goes bad will engine still turn over?was going to eliminate that,but havent got bacc to it |
