Anyone into or done any dwarf racing? I was into asphalt racing years ago, Legends mainly. Got squeezed financially due to a rule change that woulda required me to change my chassis. Anyway, I decided to check out the local dirt track last weekend, and the bug bit me again. Time to start saving up.....

What's not fun about this??

If we need a Dwarf to toss the POS next door is available. A little big but toss able

We race clone powered Karts little cheaper but not by much by the time your set up properly

We have an 1/8 mile oval track right down the road from my shop. Dwarf cars are very popular. If you build one, use an engine that came with fuel injection. Motorcycle carbs don't much like lateral "G". The best running carbed engine I saw was running remote bowl Lectons. But why bother.

And get with some racers about reliability issues from the various engines.

1125 engine??? : )

The closest track to me (where I took that video) seems to be Suzuki dominated, with the 750 being the most popular of them.

The dirt track in town runs the "mod lite" dwarf cars. they look like a blast. They look like they go as fast as the big modifieds (on a 1/4 mile track) but that could just be the scale. Most of them use hayabusa or zx-12 engines.

Mod lites are awesome, my local dirt track runs them too. Looks like it'd take a bigger budget to compete vs the classic division Dwarfs. They probably are as fast or faster than the full size mods cuz of the power to weight ratio and the fact that they can probably carry more corner speed and have more room to drift up to the wall coming out. I meant to put a stop watch on the different classes last night but I forgot.

I'm definitely doing it. Ran into a guy I used to race with last night. He started running the dwarfs last season and he's gonna help me figure out what to get and help us get it set up.
