Brad i feel ya. just pointing out the truth.
i also have massive issue with LEO using laptop while vehicle is in motion.
any kind of distraction while operating a motor vehicle is a recipe for disaster if the conditions line up for it. |

Ya know, I've always been aware of the laptops, but it's never crossed my mind that a LEO would be so stupid as to attempt the "qwerty" keyboard whilst rolling. I fully understand the need for the PC in their line of work, but...?!?
I can guess the answer, but has anyone SEEN a LEO rolling and qwertying?
Well, although it obviously isn't right, and those LEO's who do so should be reprimanded, AT LEAST we can assume that of all drivers out there, THEY should be the most capable of handling their vehicle...
Been working on getting my boat ready for the water- the more I follow threads like these, the more I'll be likely to spend my leisure time floating...

yes i have that's why i mentioned it. had a guy i know nearly killed by a trooper on the laptop. good thing he'd gotten off his bike to check the oil..... |

I understand the issue of LEOs and laptops, but cops need as much info as possible, especially in the lead-up to a felony car stop. |

Belinda: Haven't seen the PSA's myself, but I don't watch a lot of television.
You know, LEO don't need to use the keyboard. There is some amazing voice recognition stuff going on out there.

Let me be more clear - I don't condone using the computer while the car is in motion, although I do when it is stopped, whether at a light or somewhere else. |
