Stoner has a LONG LONG LONG way to go to even be considered with the likes of Rossi. Truth hurts, but it's still the truth. |

Stoner seems to be well on his way. The arm pump seems to be his only issue that could hurt his future. I like the Aussie champs, no BS, no ass kissing. Doohan, Mladin, Bayliss, Stoner are/were so focused on the task at hand rather than politics. Lawson was disliked for the same attitude. |

When I first took Reg Pridmore's C.L.A.S.S. years ago, it was when he was first sponsored by BMW. The course was held at Watkins Glen, and I had my old 1985 K100. In the early afternoon I'd FINALLY gotten comfortable riding way faster than I'd ever done before, and cornering/leaning farther than I would've thought possible. I was feeling REALLY good about myself when Reg's son Jason passed me on the outside of a turn WITH A PASSENGER and gave me the "thumbs up" as he went by... |

There are quite a few older blokes that say Rossi has a ways to go to catch Ago too. |

Is Rossi the only active rider who rode the 500's? They were imo true motoGP bikes animals at the core. |

With Capirossi retiring last year, you're right... Rossi is the only rider currently in MotoGP who raced the two strokes. Can't say the only ACTIVE rider, as Checa and Biaggi are still active, but in WSBK, not MotoGP. |

Jamie Shawn Higbee did the same thing to me at Road America, at least he didn't have a passenger! Lol |

rocket, you have no idea. stop living in the past dude. today is today and rossi has nothing on Stoner. Rossi should just retire and save his fans the enbaresment of having them watch Stoner and Lorenzon consitently beat his ass every race. |

one thing that AMA Pro absolutely has over MotoGP is American Superbikes - 3 of em, so far Erik's 2012 1190RS has bettered the factory KTM in the unofficial SBK Twins class Shawn & Geoff & Danny [in seniority order] are becoming increasingly familiar with E.B.R. machines
finally, the Hero guys from India keep returning - they appear to be smiling a lot! |

I've noticed that the cornering style of SBK riders is far less aggressive than the GP guys. With a camera on the outside of the turn it is nearly impossible to see a GP rider as they are hanging off the bike so far. The SBK guys, while fast, are nowhere near the same level. I like Spies but I am amazed at his inconsistency. For example, last weekend he was at or near the top of practice time sheets all weekend then the race comes around and he blows it. I would love to see electronics eliminated in a NASCAR style "have at it boys" move but I doubt that will ever happen. At the end of the day, if it has two wheels and hauls ass, I will watch it and enjoy myself. |
