I need some Badweb help. My stepmother, aka Judy has been diagnosed with Guillain Barre Syndrome. I can't go into all the details... but its been a very difficult past few days.... but at least we know what it is now. All the badwebbers that have been to the West Virginia Buell Rally the past few years... you know what kind of person she is, and it would me the world to her/me if I could get a few notes,letters... cards.. dropped into the mail for her... and it really doesn't matter if you have been to the WVBR or not... I have not had the privelege of meeting her or attending WVBR but a card is in the mail tomorrow. Quick Google search and sounds like it will be a tough road. She raised you so should be a piece of cake!  Seriously hoping for the best Mark. | ||

It will be done. Judy is one of my heros'. Her efforts and kindness in hosting the five WVBuell Rallys without even being a Buell rider is an amazing testament of what kind of person she is. My hat is off to Judy, thank you, wishing you the best. | ||

Prayers lifted. My uncle had it. He was walking to his car and just dropped. He was a quadriplegic for three years and one day snapped out of it. It's been another three years of crazy physical therapy and he's not 100% yet. He's a rare case and most do not result in full paralysis. 1 in 100,000 chance. | ||

Mark: My first one will go tomorrow. Judy is a hero in my eyes. When I met her and your Dad, it was about 9 seconds before I felt like I'd known them for years. People like that are special, rare and seem to often be found around motorcycles. I'm sorry to hear this, thrilled you got a diagnosis so you know what they hill your attacking looks like and I'm ready to do whatever I can to help in anyway. Note will go tomorrow. Well... I just want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone. The cards and letters have meant the world to Judy, Dad... me... my whole family. They were one of the first thing she talked about... with a tear in her eye.... "That's my Buell Boys" she kept saying.... My sister pulled me to the side and said "we ARE having everyone back to Dad and Moms".... "even if its for just a hotdog on the grill". I know I said last years "WV Buell Rally" would be the last, and it was for the most part. I have reserved the campground again for Aug. 10Th to the 12Th. If you find yourself back in WV that weekend... It'll be a smaller version repeat of what its been in the past... it will do her a lot of good do see everyone again. I think she may be in the hospital for another few weeks, but keeping my fingers crossed that she gets out sooner. I have gotten a couple of PM's about sending flowers and such. Last year was the first time I have been able to attend the WV Buell Rally. WHAT A GREAT TIME! The hospitality was unmatched. Judy and family are in my prayers. Card sent. | ||

Things are looking up. She has been able to eat and drink. Thats a big step in the right direction. They have moved her to rehab but she may still have a couple of weeks to go in the hospital. I can't believe she will have spent over a month in the hospital. You know how fast they try to boot you out..... | ||
