I got this in a Email today. It checks out even on their FB page. Has anyone else seen it?? So if you do business with BofA you might think about moving to another bank. McMillan Fiberglass Stocks, McMillan Firearms Manufacturing, McMillan Group International have been collectively banking with Bank of America for 12 years. Today Mr. Ray Fox, Senior Vice President, Market Manager, Business Banking, Global Commercial Banking came to my office. He scheduled the meeting as an “account analysis” meeting in order to evaluate the two lines of credit we have with them. He spent 5 minutes talking about how McMillan has changed in the last 5 years and have become more of a firearms manufacturer than a supplier of accessories. At this point I interrupted him and asked “Can I possible save you some time so that you don’t waste your breath? What you are going to tell me is that because we are in the firearms manufacturing business you no longer what my business.” “That is correct” he says. I replied “That is okay, we will move our accounts as soon as possible. We can find a 2nd Amendment friendly bank that will be glad to have our business. You won’t mind if I tell the NRA, SCI and everyone one I know that BofA is not firearms industry friendly?” “You have to do what you must” he said. “So you are telling me this is a politically motivated decision, is that right?” Mr Fox confirmed that it was. At which point I told him that the meeting was over and there was nothing let for him to say. I think it is import for all Americans who believe in and support our 2nd amendment right to keep and bear arms should know when a business does not support these rights. What you do with that knowledge is up to you. When I don’t agree with a business’ political position I can not in good conscience support them. We will soon no longer be accepting Bank of America credit cards as payment for our products. I stopped banking with BofA probably 10 years ago. I hope to hell Americans will wake up and put them out of business. |

I've not done business with B of A since I took out my very first mortgage and they screwed up my information with someone else's before even the first payment was due. No joke, I got a late notice before I'd even made the first payment. Never been back with them, and won't ever do business, especially now. |

do a little research on how the ran up the credit debt in Ireland.... then froze the accounts and left the market. Good times. "Honesty, Integrity, Fidelity, and Confidence" in action. expect more of the same. |

Another vote for Credit Unions. Anything to stay away from banks in general, BofA in particular. |

By the way, I DID google this tidbit before responding. Just check out Mcmillan "Bank of America" and it's depressing. |

Is it unbelievable because it's slander? http://www.snopes.com/politics/guns/bankofamerica. asp I'm in the "wait and watch" crowd. Other than that, I can attest to BoA being filthy greedy slime that has policies in place to fleece the common customer. My sister being one of them. Example: If they receive a charge against your account and also a deposit at the same time, they will take the money OUT first just in case they can get you with a overdraft fee. They will wait until the END of the day to put your money into your account just in case you use your debit card $3 too much thinking your money has been deposited. My mother went over my sister's receipts and determined that they did this to my sister a few times. Call them on it and they will say "our mistake" and remove the late fees and charges. It is not a mistake. They suck. It's this very quality of their greed that makes it somewhat hard to believe that they would turn down business for some political idiocy. |

I was doing some snopes searches and it burned me a couple of times. I have been kind of reserved the last few times I have posted anything. I have to say that if it's wrong, most of you all set me straight on whats going on. I'm fed up with the half story's that all the media is putting out now. It's gotten worse over that last couple of years to get a full story on what is going on with a topic. I left BofA 16 years ago when they tried to make me have a Checking account for use of a security box that my parents had for years way before BofA took over. After the checking account theatrics they jacked the monthly rental to $150. I packed up and haven't been back. Since then I sat back and watched several of my neighbors lose their houses due to the housing theft by banks. I've not done business with B of A since I took out my very first mortgage and they screwed up my information with someone else's before even the first payment was due. No joke, I got a late notice before I'd even made the first payment. Never been back with them, and won't ever do business, especially now. I watched a couple who had there house with Boatman's Bank (bought out by BofA) go through the same thing with 4 payments left. They were lucky that it was at the end when the government stepped in and froze what was going on. They got to keep the house. I haven't talked to them after all this 2 years ago. |

I can see how the conversation with McMillan as posted could happen. Purely a guess and totally my take (file under: 'another potential conspiracy theory') McMillan did write the letter. BoA did drop the account, and, for the reasons the Fox guy stated. He did, after all, take the trouble to personally visit his client and break the news. And maybe it was for the reasons indicated. He may have felt a personal obligation to be straight with McMillan. BoA's official response, crafted by their attorneys and PR people would differ from Fox's conversation because they don't need the potential backlash. Keep in mind that BoA was bailed out by the current administration, which is not what you would call 2nd Amendment friendly, and could conceivably be being pressured to make some changes in their customer base in exchange for something. All the other comments about BoA I've seen are pretty uniform - they are not particularly shy about screwing over their customers, apparently.

BofA is currently trying to steal my parents house. My parents have sued the shit out of them and caught them in a number of illegal practices. They are no better than Loan Sharks and use strong arm tactics to get what they want. F them. The sooner they are out of business the better. |

I see nothing in the snopes posting to prove it didn't occur that way. If weighing just on the cast of characters my money's on mcmillan. B of a holding forth "freedom" group as evidence of them being 2nd amendment friendly is, well.......do a little digging. Just because they are cornering the firearms industry does not mean they are friendly.......follow the money..... |

My refusal to have anything to do with BofA started with the open willingness and active marketing to illegal aliens seeking to open bank accounts without ANY documentation. You can also add Chase to the list of banks that are scum. I wouldn't piss on the CEO of that bank if he were on fire. |

Ahhhhhh yes.....but you probably would, given the chance, if he were not on fire? I would like to go crap in their office's garbage cans, the way they have done mine for many many years. While you are pissing on him, please tell him I said to quit sending me shit! Thank you. |

B of A claimed I bounced a $310 check when I was 15 years old. I only had a savings account with about $500 in it. A: I was never issued any checks B: I had more than $310 in the account C: It wasn't a checking account That little debacle plagued me for over 10 years... Couldn't get Chex Systems to remove it. Snopes is a joke in itself. When was it decided that a website like Snopes is the end-all for fact checking? |

I've seen Snopes verifiably wrong in the past. In this case they call it undetermined despite the fact that the company who has been turned away has publicly told their story. Has BoA offered anything credible to refute the story? BTW, every time I've seen Snopes being questionable, it's fallen to the same side politically, if you know what I mean. They used to be a great site to verify some things when they could cite sources and what not, but they have fallen short lately IMO. |
