My dog hates all machines from motorcycles to hair dryers. I don't think he is really my son. In particular, he hates the Norton. He is cool with it until I snick the starter pedal over in preparation for liftoff, then he goes nuts. He actually bit the turn signal once when it was running in the driveway. Now that he's old and sick he doesn't really care but there was a time when he expressed his opinion loudly.
Nope, I like dogs but only have a cat who loves the Uly seats for napping. There is a guy that lives two towns over that rides with his Labradoodle on his old honda all the time.
My boss used to ride with her doggie in the sidecar when she had her hack. When we finally get a hack, may just have to get a dog to co-pilot and make sure it is properly accessorized with "Doggles".
Got a graveyard across the street from my house- once I put the GF on the back of my '77 Shovel, while she held Chloe (35# mutt) between us...
Dog seemed to like it despite hating loud noises, and we got a good dose of shits and giggles.
Once had a bike chasing me across the Foothills Parkway on my R65- thought it was a guy I'd ridden through the Gap with, hot on my tail- it was a local Beemer buddy with wifey 2-up, and their pocket terrier (forgot breed) standing in the tank bag, LOVING life!
I have a shih tzu poodle named scruffy (shi- poo). he loves to ride on any thing. he'll stand with his front paws on the tank and his back paws on my leg and down the road we go! no leash. when he gets tired after a half hour or so he just lays across my lap and goes to sleep. when he hears the bike start he runs up wagging his tail with excitement ready to go.
Our Dukie likes to ride in-between us on the bikes. He fits just perfect in the Buell slingbag. He likes to ride the 4 wheeler. He likes to ride in the car. He likes the ride the lawn mower with Jerry. He just likes to RIDE!
I built a home made sidecar (below) for Tasha, my Malamute, that I attached to my KLR250 to ride around the neighborhood. She loved it after hopping out of it on the first ride. We used to get a lot of cheers from the neighbors. A very special time for both of us.
Some here may remember the guy who rode Battle Trax with his dog on the sheep skin covered tank of his Harley. He made a respectable run then rode off wearing one of Reg's loaner helmets.
